Foster Care Licensing Specialist

Role Description As a Foster Care Licensing Specialist in the Foster Care Department, you will: - Recruit, train, and license foster parents. - Provide pre-service training for potential foster parents. - Assess and evaluate potential foster parents based on state and agency policy. - Guide potential parents through the licensing process and submit all licensing documentation to the state as well as required agency documents. - Ensure foster parents' training remains in compliance. - Provide at least quarterly supervision/assessment. - Maintain audit-ready files. - Work in cooperation with the foster care coordinator to provide comprehensive support to help foster parents maintain placement of children in their homes. - Engage in public speaking and marketing to recruit families. In a typical day, flexibility is key to meet with foster parents or for marketing, which may include occasional evenings or weekends. You will provide excellent customer service, assist in locating placements for children, and work both independently and with a team to ensure the safe placement of children while maintaining documentation requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field. - A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience. - Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) you lead. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. Requirements - All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test. - An extensive background check is required. - This is a remote role; however, the individual must reside in Tennessee. Position Overview The University of Missouri, Department of Family & Community Medicine, is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Virtual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to serve as a key clinical partner within a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Virtual APP Clinic. This program is designed to expand access to timely, patient-centered, and evidence-based medical care through an innovative telehealth model integrated into the broader Ambulatory Care system. The Virtual APP will provide high-quality virtual clinical services, contribute to program development, and collaborate closely with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless coordination of care. This role is part of a dynamic department committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of respect and belonging. Additional Information This position is fully remote following successful completion of the required orientation period, which includes 30 days and/or 100 hours of collaborator shadowing (whichever is completed last). No in-person responsibilities are required once training and onboarding are complete. Virtual participation in departmental and program meetings is required.
