Role Description HealthStream’s UX/Web Developer is a key member of the company’s Digital & eCommerce Marketing team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing the functionality, performance, features, and experience of our B2B and B2P digital channels ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance. The ideal candidate has a comprehensive knowledge of high-end web design and development and a good grasp of SEO and eCommerce conversion. They have development experience with various systems including Wordpress, Shopify, Sitefinity, Klaviyo, and the Salesforce product suite (Pardot, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud). Key Responsibilities - Adhere to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training. - Implement technology and other solutions to advance our eCommerce and digital marketing, email marketing, and corporate websites. - Develop frontend user flow, code, layouts, and visual elements according to project requirements. - Integrate and customize Shopify themes and apps to achieve desired functionality. - Update and maintain current websites by developing and optimizing existing features and implementing new features. - Develop user interfaces as per brand and design guidelines for optimal performance. - Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise. - Routine daily maintenance of existing sites and applications. - Document technical specifications, project details, and follow development processes. - Ensure company best practices and compliance in all marketing technology integrations and development. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging web development technologies. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred. - 5+ years of UI/Web development. - Experience with Shopify platforms. - Experience building custom WordPress websites. - Familiarity with user experience design principles and methods. - Experience working with technical and creative teams to accomplish goals. - Familiar in one or more industry-standard prototyping tools (e.g., Invision, Figma, Balsamiq, etc.). - Previous experience working in a complex organization. Requirements - Strong knowledge of Liquid/PHP/HTML/JAVASCRIPT/CSS, with a focus on clean and maintainable code. - Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js. - Experience with Shopify Theme OS 2.0 and its templating system. - Strong understanding of front-end development principles and best practices. - Advanced understanding of the WordPress core software and its functions at the code level. - Interpersonal skills - exceptional verbal/written communication, listening, presentation skills, and high attention to detail. - Proven ability to support multiple projects with high quality, attention to detail, and exceptional teamwork and internal communication skills. - Passion for e-commerce and a deep understanding of user experience (UX). - Ability to work in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder, evolving organization with a large degree of ambiguity. - Eagerness to learn new trends and technologies along with commitment to mastering development within the identified marketing technology stack and confidently researching and learning unfamiliar subjects quickly.
