QTS Data Centers

Role Description The Director, Development requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements, with an emphasis on project/construction management. In this role, you will function as QTS’ point of contact for new client builds and implementations and liaise between the QTS Sales Team (Account Exec and Sales Engineer), the QTS Operations Team, the QTS Property Development Team, and the Customer. The PSCM will work closely with existing Development Construction Project Managers to ensure the customers’ needs are carried out to high levels of expectation. The position will report into the QTS Property Development department and work closely with the CHO and CRO, depending on the origin of the project. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture - Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities - Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers - Be able to travel up to 50% of the time Requirements - Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location - Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customer’s design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopes - Manage the delivery of these projects, aligning clients’ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organization - Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budget - Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Flexible spending and HSA accounts - Paid holidays - Paid time off - Paid volunteer days - Employee assistance program - Tuition assistance - Parental leave - Military leave assistance - QTS scholarship for dependents - Wellness program - This position is Bonus eligible - This job may be eligible for equity

The Director of Technical Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the technical services function within Optum Enterprise Imaging. This role is accountable for the successful technical implementation, integration, and deployment of Enterprise Imaging solutions across complex, enterprise-scale customer environments. The Director leads teams of technical service managers, technical implementation engineers, and technical consultants responsible for infrastructure readiness, solution configuration, data migrations, integrations, and technical go live execution. This role ensures implementations are delivered predictably, securely, and in alignment with Optum's enterprise standards for quality, privacy, reliability, and compliance. The Director also establishes and operates a Global Technical Services Center of Excellence, defines Optum-standard technical delivery frameworks, and partners closely with Product, Engineering, Managed Services, Security, and Customer Success. Responsibility includes overall operational performance of technical services, including capacity, utilization, productivity, and financial outcomes. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
