• You'll design the full Hippo Plus experience — from the sales funnel that converts first-time visitors into policyholders, to the back-office tools the team uses to manage policies, payments, and customer support. • You'll partner with PMs and Engineers from discovery onward – defining problems, exploring solutions, shipping features that move real product metrics (conversion, activation, retention). • You'll run user interviews, shadow sessions, and lightweight feedback loops with customers and internal teams. • You'll sketch, wireframe, and prototype at the right fidelity for the question you're trying to answer (we use Figma and LLMs daily). • You'll facilitate the messy conversations that get product, design and engineering aligned. • You'll share your work openly: process, half-formed ideas, and mistakes included. You'll show up to design crits with opinions and leave with better work.

• Own the brief-to-delivery pipeline: receive briefs from business stakeholders, resolve ambiguity proactively, and confirm deliverables, format and success criteria before a single pixel is placed. • Deliver high-quality UI to specification and on agreed timelines, communicating schedule risks immediately and transparently. • Work with fastidious attention to detail within our Figma design system, adhering to strict tokens & variables, design rules and naming conventions. • Create, maintain and extend reusable components using atomic design principles, keeping the system clean, consistent and scalable. • Partner closely with front-end developers to produce developer-ready handoffs — covering interaction states, edge cases and responsive behaviour — and participate in QA to ensure implementation matches design intent. • Proactively identify gaps and inconsistencies in the design system and propose well-considered resolutions. • Self-review and lead design crits for your work before submission, and iterate with pace and a positive attitude.

• Own end-to-end product design for key Advanced Trade experiences across web and mobile • Lead high-ambiguity, zero-to-one and improvement initiatives • Raise the craft and quality bar across the Advanced Trading product surface • Design scalable frameworks, patterns, and information architecture • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and cross-functional peers • Lead through influence by coaching and upleveling more junior designers
