Educational Data Analyst
Newsela
• Engage with school district leaders and educators to understand their data analytics needs and to educate diverse stakeholders on how to effectively use the dashboards to interpret data. • Design and develop customized metrics and dashboards. • Utilize SQL for database management and queries, ensuring accurate and accessible data solutions. • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the data dashboards by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving platform and data quality issues to ensure reliable reporting and effective data modeling. • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform.
Job Requirements
- +4 years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or similar role.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into digestible and actionable information.
- Experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, and automation.
- Experience working with educational data and familiarity with K-12 schools.
- Experience working with data visualization tools and dashboard design.
- Ability to work independently on projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and improving educational outcomes.
