Role Description Join us in shaping the future of Automotive Commerce with our Enterprise Analytics Team. Our Analytics Team is on a mission to accelerate innovation by building and evolving websites analytics infrastructure, digital measurement capabilities, and data strategies that empower our teams and customers to make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions. Our Analytics function is the intelligence layer that powers our entire organization. We own the critical data collection systems, web analytics implementations, and measurement frameworks that fuel insights across multiple Cars Commerce platforms. This work enables our product and business teams with innovative data solutions and self-service capabilities to track, analyze, and act on what matters most. This is an incredible opportunity to make a direct impact. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to translate bold data goals into reliable, scalable analytics solutions. You will drive best-in-class practices around data collection, observability, tracking integrity, and reporting on thousands of websites' analytics work. As you grow in the role, you'll have the chance to deepen your technical expertise, own larger analytics initiatives, and contribute significantly to our overall data and analytics strategy. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Master's preferred or equivalent extensive experience). - 8+ years of progressive experience in digital analytics, technical analysis, or data tracking implementation, with a significant focus on strategic and leadership roles. - Demonstrated expertise in enterprise-level analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4), Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, and similar. - Exceptional proficiency in Google Tag Manager (GTM) or comparable tag management systems, advanced JavaScript, data layer architectures, and complex event-driven data collection. - Profound understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, advanced JavaScript concepts, DOM manipulation, and sophisticated browser/network debugging techniques. - Strong understanding of data lake architecture and ingestion pipelines, and love collaborating with data engineers to ensure data is architected in a way that's scalable and built to deliver real business impact. - Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve highly intricate tracking issues and data discrepancies. - Proven track record of successfully leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects from conception to completion, balancing aggressive technical requirements with critical business needs. - Comprehensive knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) and extensive experience in architecting and implementing highly compliant tracking solutions. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate highly complex technical concepts and strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including executive leadership. - Demonstrated experience in formally mentoring, coaching, and leading technical teams, organizing work, and managing resource allocation. Requirements - Lead Strategic Analytics Initiatives: Drive the strategy, architecture, and implementation of high accuracy and direct alignment with enterprise strategic objectives. - Be Expert Consultant & Guide: Act as the primary subject matter expert and internal consultant for all technical analytics matters, providing authoritative guidance on data layer design, tag management strategies, and advanced tracking methodologies. - Monitor trends and improve data collection: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and business conditions to identify opportunities for significant improvements in data collection, processing, and utilization. Recommend and implement cutting-edge solutions that provide a competitive advantage. - Team Leadership & Mentorship: Without the people management responsibilities, organize work priorities for functional teams, delegate tasks effectively, and track progress to ensure successful project delivery. Mentor and educate technical analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. - Advanced Architecture & Design: Architect and design enterprise-level analytics solutions, including sophisticated server-side tracking, advanced cross-platform integrations, and machine learning-driven data enhancements. - Optimize Data Ecosystem: Oversee comprehensive audits of the entire analytics ecosystem, proactively identifying systemic gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for significant optimization across all data sources. - Innovation & Automation: Champion the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, automation tools, and scripting solutions to revolutionize tracking validation, data quality, and reporting processes. - Cross-functional Strategic Partnership: Forge deep strategic partnerships with engineering, product, marketing, and executive leadership to define ambitious tracking requirements, troubleshoot complex interdependencies, and ensure seamless integration of analytics across all business functions. - Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: Serve as a recognized thought leader in digital analytics, actively contributing to industry discussions, presenting findings, and widely sharing expertise through documentation, training, and internal forums. - Technology Stack & Vendor Strategy: Contribute to or provide input on technology stack decisions and vendor evaluations for analytics tools and infrastructure.
