• As Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d) you act as an operational sparring partner for Sales and Management and play a central role in the fast, scalable and legally secure execution of SaaS deals. • Your focus is on increasing deal velocity, win rate and commercial scalability — with a controlled risk profile. • You report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and work closely with Sales Leadership. • End-to-end support of SaaS deals: legal coverage from tendering through contract negotiation to closing. • Shaping deal strategies: active support, especially for complex enterprise and key-account contracts. • Negotiation & structuring of contracts: focus on commercial levers, deal speed and high close rates. • Development of scalable contract standards: building and enhancing playbooks, fallback clauses and CLM structures to accelerate deal execution. • Ownership of commercial KPIs in the legal process: responsibility for metrics such as deal cycle time, touchpoints and closure rate. • Risk management & guardrails: active control of risk allocation and the definition of clear decision-making guardrails. • Use of Legal Tech & AI: leveraging modern tools to increase efficiency while ensuring corporate governance and proper housekeeping.
Job Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist), LL.M. or equivalent qualification
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in private practice or as in-house counsel
- Extensive experience negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in a SaaS/software environment
- Strong understanding of sales processes and commercial drivers
- Ability to manage legal risks pragmatically and with a business-oriented approach
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills and a confident presence
- Ability to explain complex legal topics clearly up to executive level
- Structured, hands-on working style and preferably experience with Legal Tech/CLM
- Fluent German and English (negotiation/business level)
