Mobile Power Tech Advisor

Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today! Demonstrate expertise in Mobile Power product line. Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to educate sales staff on technical aspects of hydraulics, including PTOs. Create and execute sales strategy for assigned territory, working to create growth of the Mobile Power product line through sales calls and development of sales staff. Know the customer base, product offerings and sell Mobile Power products at designated price levels in support of annual EBIT and sales growth goals. Present a professional image, a customer service focus, and develop relationships with existing customers and prospects to expand FleetPride’s market share within the territory. Essential Tasks Develop a thorough understanding of the customer base in the territory, including: current Mobile Power product offerings, FleetPride penetration, product substitutions, and competition. Achieve monthly and annual sales and gross margin objectives for the territory on Mobile Power products. Provide customers with updated catalogs, and service manuals where applicable. Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product features. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders. Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and requirements. Qualifications Education High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Professional Experience Experience with the technical aspects of Mobile Power products required. Over 4 years experience in sales; sales of automotive parts preferred. Experience with Windows Operating Systems. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Job Requirements
- Work with customers and Outside Sales Representatives to determine specifications for hydraulic systems by developing a thorough understanding of the customer requirements and product needs.
- Design hydraulic system for customers per needs and specifications.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates.
- Determine needed parts for customers and suggest related sale of parts or services for full service.
- Assess training needs for various customers and branches and prioritize according to greatest need and cost effectiveness.
- Create and facilitate training for Outside Sales Representatives, Counter Parts Sales Reps, and customers.
- Training should be conducted on an as needed basis and include hands on product training and product catalog review.
- Research market in regards to competition: who are they, what they sell, at what price, and where they sell it.
- Penetrate and expand current market through the introduction of Mobile Power products and services to new and existing customers.
- Ensure knowledge is up to date on Mobile Power products, knowing the technical ins and outs
- Each month review sales and vendor reports and discuss growth opportunities with supervisor.
- Each month review customer payment obligations and develop a list of over due accounts.
- Develop a plan with supervisor to ensure collection.
- Develop sales reports each month to include: call reports, customer status, information on competition, new products/services introduced, pricing issues.
- Ensure top 10 customers are called upon in a frequency that ensures customer needs are met.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings in order to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
- Ensure customer issues/problems are resolved within a reasonable time frame.
- Be responsive to customer needs and make sure customer expectations are fulfilled.
