Corporate Counsel – M&A, Corporate Affairs
AMSURG
• Provides legal advice and counsel to development, strategy, finance, and operations teams • Supports transactions including drafting agreements, leading negotiations, and due diligence • Advises structure for transactions and assist in crafting solutions to protect interests • Conducts legal research and analysis for recommendations and prepares written opinions • Supports corporate governance processes and entity management compliance • Provides legal support on commercial finance and tax matters • Acts as a liaison between management and internal/external legal experts
Job Requirements
- Licensed Attorney holding a J.D.
- 5+ years’ experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
- High-level analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while managing a variety of projects simultaneously, meeting aggressive deadlines
- Ability to function independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to build credibility quickly and provide strong legal support for a complex and challenging business
