Role Description The Site EHS Specialist - Services position reports hierarchically to the ASEAN EHS Lead. He/she will be responsible to ensure the safe operations during Service across ONW Thailand Region. He/she will work closely with the OPS team and when needed with the customers to provide technical EHS support and oversight to ensure successful implementation and execution of all EHS expectations from GE Vernova & ONW. He/she will also provide input and support the wider ONW COE EHS team as we work to build one successful EHS team. The Site EHS Specialist -ONW Thailand Services is a critical role to provide technical EHS guidance and support successful EHS management across the operations sites during the GE Vernova work scope such as service operations, major upgrades and Blade services. - Partner with Operations leadership to drive the EHS Programs implementation on ground at Thailand ONW FSA Wind Farm sites. - Ensure Implementation of GE Vernova Life Saving Rules, EHS Programs and procedures which are in line with GE Vernova and local regulation requirements on EHS Management. - Lead the effective implementation of EHS Management systems aligned with GE Vernova ONW expectations by supporting and guiding operations team. - Drive and ensure the EHS & Regulatory compliance in services sites situated in Thailand are met 100% of the time effectively. - Coach and support key influencers, including managers, on strategies to foster an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS. - Ensure compliance and coordinate with the stakeholders of Operations/MCU Leaders/Blade Services/sourcing to ensure the implementation of both GE Vernova and legislative EHS expected programs and training requirements. - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and drive accountability in Thailand. - Lead development of EHS risk management processes and facilitate their implementation and maintenance. - Support and mentor OPS team in incident investigation, use root cause analysis methods, ensuring identify correct incident root causes as well as addressing correction actions. - Liaise with a diverse range of third parties including Customer, Contractors/Subcontractors, emergency services and regulatory agencies on EHS matters as necessary. - Deliver and, where necessary, support development of EHS training, including maintaining records of competency and training completion. - Conduct audits and inspections and manage any third party EHS inspections, following the expectations laid out by GE Vernova, including on-time closure of audit findings. - Promote a positive EHS culture, including STOP WORK Authority to all personnel, including third parties, and support implementation of EHS incentive programs, as well as Just and Fair Cause process. - Problem solving skills able to lead teams to determine root cause and develop practical solutions. - Manage EHS meetings with GE/Partner/Subcontractors or other 3rd parties as necessary. - Supports all other demands as assigned as per business needs (Governance audit across ONW business, any EHS support coming from the EHS COE Team etc. Not inclusive all.) Qualifications - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering stream (like Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical etc.) - A minimum of 07 to 10 years of progressive experience in health and safety roles and operations preferably working with cross functional team in a multinational organization set up. - Occupational Health and Safety or related technical degree from an accredited university or college and/or professional qualification in technical field and/or comparable education (ASP/CSP/NEBOSH IGC preferred) - Candidate must have dual language proficiency (Thai and English Language proficiency is mandatory) - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams across different cultures and geographies. - Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, EHS standards and EHS & Safety regulations. - Willingness and flexibility to travel 20-25% of the time, both national and international as needed. - Work well with work at height and climbing (No height phobia or Vertigo) - Must have Thailand Driving License Desired Characteristics - Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change and interact cross-functionally. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Confidently able to facilitate and deliver training and presentations to a diverse audience. - Ability to influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. - Good condition and fitness to climb a wind turbine. - Strong knowledge in a wind service site environment and high-risk operations. - Have domain expertise in two or more of the following HRO’s: Electrical Safety, LOTO requirements, crane safety, construction safety, fall prevention, confined space. - High energy, self-starter. Soft Skills - Expert level in Influence and communication, resilience and change management, performance, resources and conflict management, Employee relations and team engagement, vision and goals setting and analytical problem solving.
