Title: Proposal Specialist Location: United States Job Description: The Role: The Proposal Writer will lead the development, writing, editing, and overseeing of compelling proposal submissions aimed at driving YA's growth. They will regularly collaborate and communicate with external clients, internal Project Specialists, Project Managers, and members of the Executive Leadership teams. In This Role, You Will: Assist with proposals and lead Requests for Information, Requests for Qualifications, and other proposals for clients, supporting from capture through to interview stage, as required. Participate in go/no-go, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal. Participate in pre-RFP capture/proposal planning, supporting the development of key messages in proposals. Lead proposal process, including being responsible for proposal schedule, templates, compliance list, and content plan) and providing leadership for document design. Serve as lead writer/editor for cover letters, resumes and past performance sections for proposals. Support development of data calls to teaming partners/subconsultants, setting up status calls and color team reviews. Facilitate color team reviews and manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams and the capture team. Support internal debriefs after proposal submittal, and review client debriefs and client feedback on proposals to drive continuous improvement. Apply working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, signatory). Liaise with appropriate/relevant operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries). Participate in presentation/interview preparation and planning, as assigned. Perform final and edits layout, (Canva, MS Word, InDesign, using brand guidelines. Use CRM software to keep data updated (NetSuite, Salesforce). What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 4+ years’ experience in proposal coordination, writing, and editing within the private sector required, with experience in public sector consulting a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 preferred. Experience with Canva, InDesign, or other graphic design software preferred. Ability to work well on your own, in a remote environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Role Description GFT is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our BD&M team in the West (California/Phoenix/Seattle). This role follows a fully remote work model. Qualifications - Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, business or applicable field or a technical/scientific discipline related to GFT's core business. - Minimum 3 years of combined prior proposal experience is required, including a progressively increasing level of responsibility during the past year.
