The right candidate is someone who is technically strong, experienced in managing a team of Architects and Engineers, capable of overseeing delivery engagements, and passionate about working with our customers, partners, and employees to drive the business forward. - Manage a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects. - Define and communicate the value of technical solutions through structured documentation, value charters, and roadmaps. - Take on hands-on technical responsibilities, including technical tasks during sprints. - Lead technical discussions with customers and guide solution direction. - Handle code reviews and pull request management to ensure code quality. - Manage task assignments within sprints and ensure timely delivery. - Provide guidance on roadmap planning, best practices, and risk identification. - Mentor team members within projects, sharing feedback and supporting growth opportunities. - Serve as the point of technical escalation for client engagements. - Kick off new projects and ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals. - Support pre-sales through proposal development, contract review, and client presentations. - Conduct technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates. - Perform 1:1s and support the career growth of your direct reports. - Navigate customer and team challenges with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills. Qualifications - Previous experience managing a team (preferably in the areas of cloud, devops or application development). - Experience working with AWS or other cloud-related solutions. - Experience writing, reviewing, and deploying using multiple different coding languages (nodejs, go, react, angular, typescript, python, etc). - Great verbal and written communication skills. - Experience managing professional services engagements. - Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and the ability to be cross-functional. - Possess a natural curiosity and excitement for learning new technology. - Desire to integrate innovative technologies into development workflow. - Familiarity with Generative AI technologies. - Technical background in application development. Base Salary Range The expected base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $234,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional Compensation Components In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives. Role Description The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for the leadership and management of the team. Responsible for proactively managing the project’s technical requirements, schedule, contract obligations, and project communications. The Senior Project Engineer will work with the Civil Design team on transportation projects. Role will entail leading various disciplines to ensure projects get delivered on time and on budget.
