Role Description We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join our growing Cloud Native Applications practice. The right candidate is someone who is technically strong, experienced in managing a team of Architects and Engineers, capable of overseeing delivery engagements, and passionate about working with our customers, partners, and employees to drive the business forward. - Manage a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects. - Define and communicate the value of technical solutions through structured documentation, value charters, and roadmaps. - Take on hands-on technical responsibilities, including technical tasks during sprints. - Lead technical discussions with customers and guide solution direction. - Handle code reviews and pull request management to ensure code quality. - Manage task assignments within sprints and ensure timely delivery. - Provide guidance on roadmap planning, best practices, and risk identification. - Mentor team members within projects, sharing feedback and supporting growth opportunities. - Serve as the point of technical escalation for client engagements. - Kick off new projects and ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals. - Support pre-sales through proposal development, contract review, and client presentations. - Conduct technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates. - Perform 1:1s and support the career growth of your direct reports. - Navigate customer and team challenges with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills. Qualifications - Previous experience managing a team (preferably in the areas of cloud, devops or application development). - Experience working with AWS or other cloud-related solutions. - Experience writing, reviewing, and deploying using multiple different coding languages (nodejs, go, react, angular, typescript, python, etc). - Great verbal and written communication skills. - Experience managing professional services engagements. - Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and the ability to be cross-functional. - Possess a natural curiosity and excitement for learning new technology. - Desire to integrate innovative technologies into development workflow. - Familiarity with Generative AI technologies. - Technical background in application development. Requirements - Develops strategies that link business goals to technical solutions and drive measurable value. - Collaborates with client executives to plan initiatives and enable long-term success. - Leads discussions with stakeholders to resolve competing priorities and align on outcomes. - Shapes customer engagement strategies by identifying needs and mapping Caylent capabilities to business goals. - Creates clear, actionable roadmaps focused on customer deliverables. - Confidently negotiates timelines and resources while providing recommendations rooted in technical and business expertise. Base Salary Range The expected base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $234,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional Compensation Components In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives.
