Role Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical Workday HCM transformation initiative supporting the integration and separation of two organisations transitioning into independent legal entities. This role will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the programme, ensuring successful execution across scope, timelines, quality, stakeholder alignment, governance, and risk management. The successful candidate will thrive in a complex, multi-vendor environment and demonstrate strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to drive key decisions while ensuring compliance with legal, operational, and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities - End-to-End Project Leadership & Delivery - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Workday HCM integration and separation programme. - Ensure alignment with defined project objectives, scope, timelines, and business outcomes. - Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical path activities. - Drive programme execution against agreed schedules and acceptance criteria. - Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address deviations from plan. - Manage programme interdependencies across workstreams, vendors, and business functions. - Ensure delivery quality and successful transition into business operations. - Governance & Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across both organisations. - Act as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and programme sponsors. - Facilitate decision-making and drive alignment on priorities, risks, and trade-offs. - Lead governance forums, steering committees, and project review meetings. - Ensure transparent and timely communication of programme status, risks, dependencies, financials, and key decisions. - Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address concerns. - Risk, Issue & Dependency Management - Establish and maintain a comprehensive RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) framework. - Identify, assess, manage, and mitigate programme risks. - Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive timely resolution. - Monitor programme dependencies and ensure alignment across all project workstreams. - Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies where required. - Financial & Commercial Management - Monitor programme budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation. - Ensure effective management of third-party vendors and contractual obligations. - Track programme costs against approved budgets and identify opportunities for optimisation. - Support commercial governance and procurement activities where necessary. - Change & Transformation Leadership - Lead organisational readiness activities in partnership with HR, Change Management, and Business Leads. - Support business adoption of new processes and Workday capabilities. - Ensure transformation objectives are delivered while minimising operational disruption. - Promote collaboration across global and regional teams. Qualifications - Proven experience delivering large-scale Workday HCM programmes as a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager. - Experience leading complex integration, separation, merger, acquisition, or transformation projects. - Strong knowledge of HR technology, Workday HCM, and organisational transformation programmes. - Demonstrated experience operating within multi-vendor and matrix-managed environments. - Strong governance, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills. - Experience managing RAID frameworks, programme financials, and delivery reporting. - Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making abilities. - Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments. Requirements - Experience supporting legal entity separations, carve-outs, mergers, or acquisitions. - Knowledge of TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) environments. - Experience with global HR transformation initiatives. - Project Management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or Agile qualifications. - Experience working across international and cross-functional teams. Key Deliverables - End-to-end delivery of the Workday HCM integration and separation programme. - Detailed project plans and governance documentation. - RAID logs and mitigation plans. - Executive-level status reports and steering committee updates. - Budget and resource management reporting. - Successful programme transition and business readiness outcomes. • Manage the construction build process from permitting through project closeout. • Implement existing construction processes and identify improvements to processes to build efficiency and/or cost savings. • Manage a capital spend budget of $15M-$28M annually. • Understand the associated budget for each store and ensure project is completed on budget. • Mitigate change orders to eliminate project overages where possible. • Forecast and accrue project spend throughout the year and communicate any budget to be carried over a fiscal year. • Create and manage individual project schedules ensuring all contractors, vendors and installers are included and scheduled so the project time line can be met or accelerated. • Identify risks and challenges to the schedule to re-phase work and ensure timely completion/opening. • Serve as primary liaison between Wawa, governmental agencies and approval authorities from building permits to final certificate of occupancy. • Manage developers thru the turnover process for pad ready and pad complete sites and fulfilling any contract requirements. • Manage and schedule all third party vendors throughout the construction process. • Coordinate with Landlords on all lease requirements. • Identify risks, challenges, and disruptions to projects. • Develop recommendations for alternate solutions, communicate out and escalate concerns. Role Description This is a remote opportunity with 10% travel. The APM works under the general direction of the Supervising Transportation Engineer (Sup TE). The Assistant PM Engineering will serve in a technical support role to the Planning and Engineering - Strategic Delivery Office Locally Generated Alternative (LGA) Team and will be responsible for: - Providing support in overseeing the technical designs for preliminary and advanced engineering documents/deliverables. - Supporting the management and tracking specific tasks and deliverables within the design contract. - Ensuring that assigned contracts and agreements are administered and managed in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. - Assisting in the design oversight of utility and local facility relocations impacted by the California High-Speed Rail Authority project.
