Role Description As a Premium Auditor I, you will virtual audit each account assigned with optimum accuracy and efficiency, primarily focusing on General Liability. You'll complete each audit in a timely manner to avoid delinquency in relation to the expiration date of the policy. We trust you to audit each account in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all clients are provided with the highest standard of customer service. This position is a REMOTE position. We'll Count on You To - Perform audits, examine financial records pertaining to the stated premium base. - Determine from observation and questioning with insured, proper risk classification, premium basis and scope of operations. - Conduct well organized audits preparing formal reports of audit results on notebook computer with provided software in accordance with established rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures. - Assess the conditions of records used for audit. - Discuss audit results with policyholders and send appropriate correspondence as warranted. - Refer changes on classification assignment to Underwriter. - Notify the underwriter of significant changes in risk exposure in accordance with audit policies and procedures. - Schedule audits efficiently and economically. Initiate confirmation calls to clients prior to appointment. - Document all contacts and pertinent information. - Attend work related functions and meetings as directed. Qualifications - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and agents. - Strong quantitative skills (ability to calculate discounts, interest, commission, volume, etc.). - Ability to communicate with insured’s on teleconferences. - Excellent communication and relationship management skills to problem solve and exchange information. - Ability to project a warm and friendly manner in all business contacts and maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, agency contacts, and the general public. - Critical thinking skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Requirements - Associate’s degree or equivalent plus two years’ performing premium audits or equivalent combination of education and experience.
