Lead Consultant, SAP HCM Payroll
Strada
• Partnering with our clients to understand their current payroll requirements to propose effective Strada solutions • Understanding client business issues and constraints and recommend the best solutions • Capture and document client requirements as appropriate and create the relevant work packages according the agreed signed of solutions • Leading the Solution design, review and alignment of deliverables to ensure we deliver on-time and in-scope • Ensure that lessons learned activities from a functional and technical point of view are completed • Provide deliverables and project objectives to functional and technical resources assigned to the project • Document any deviations from Strada standards and report them to the project team • Providing subject matter expertise for all SAP payroll related technical and functional issues • Provide subject matter expertise to all technical and functional resources assigned in the project • Act as the Payroll lead / SPOC for SAP Payroll Management development, defect identification, and defect resolution • Extensive and proven SAP HCM & Payroll configuration skills (Evaluation and Schemas) • Must have experience on German, Austria or Switzerland Payroll - Schemas, sickness process, PCRs, wage type creation, basic pay configuration, etc. • Troubleshoot and resolve HCM & Payroll problems/failures for both external and internal customers and updating ticket logging systems in a timely and accurate manner • Act as the primary escalation point within the project or as SPOC within maintenance Service for all issues related to the implementation and system configuration • Ensure proficiency and quality in the configuration, use and deployment of OM/PA/PY/TM modules in the project currently assigned with Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery • Close collaboration with Project Managers, team members and Service Delivery Management • Mentoring junior colleagues • Support the Sales and Pre-Sales teams where needed • Working with payroll implementation team on the build of the system
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree with a Business or Technical emphasis, or equivalent
- Demonstrate exceptional SAP Payroll Functional and Technical implementation and configuration experience
- Have an exceptional understanding of country specific Payroll legislation and practices for Germany, Austria or Switzerland
- Have experience in a consulting role within a payroll technology environment
- Demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities and have an eye for detail and quality
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Be a natural communicator and have the ability to build successful relationships with clients and teams
- Have excellent written and verbal skills in English; German is a plus
- Applicants must have a valid EU work permit

Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll tax compliance, payroll reconciliations, and reporting processes while ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong experience with both Sage and QuickBooks, as well as a solid understanding of payroll accounting principles and tax legislation. Duties & Responsibilities - Process and review payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Prepare, reconcile, and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes. - Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. - Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. - Manage payroll tax registrations, notices, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities. - Prepare and submit year-end payroll reports and other statutory filings where applicable. - Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, tax variances, and employee payroll queries. - Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes related to payroll. - Generate payroll reports and provide analysis to management as required. - Ensure accurate employee deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings. - Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain employee and payroll data integrity. - Stay informed of changes in payroll tax legislation and recommend process improvements.
