Recruitment Consultant

The Externals Group

Role Description This is a perm delivery-focused consultant role where you will own the full recruitment process from intake call through to placement. You will work across a mix of established accounts and newly won clients, picking up roles from the point they are signed and taking full ownership of delivery from there. That means managing candidates, maintaining client relationships, and keeping things moving on both sides until the job is done. What the role does not involve is cold business development. Accounts are won by the business development team and handed to you. Your focus is purely on delivering against them. The majority of our volume sits in the US market, primarily across central and eastern time zones, where fees reflect the seniority and scarcity of the people we place. For a consultant who delivers consistently, the earning potential is substantial. - Taking on new accounts from intake call and owning delivery through to placement - Sourcing, approaching, and qualifying candidates for specialist roofing roles across the UK and US - Managing candidates throughout the full process, keeping them informed and engaged - Maintaining strong relationships with clients across an active account base - Coordinating interviews, handling offers, and managing the final stages through to start date - Building a candidate network in a niche market Qualifications - 5+ years of recruitment agency experience, ideally within a technical or niche sector - A strong track record of delivery, not just activity - Experience managing client relationships through the full recruitment cycle - Able to work independently and manage your own desk without close oversight - Comfortable working across US time zones when needed - Ideally coming from a perm recruitment background Requirements - No cold BD.
