Role Description The Application Engineer, Supplemental Disinfection can be based anywhere in the US and will support our Chem-Aqua Supplemental Disinfection Division. This person is integral to the daily operation of the business and requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Support our Supplemental Disinfection Team. - Work with sales force, customers, engineering, and technical marketing group to develop, design, install, and service supplemental disinfection equipment systems. - Provide commissioning/startup services for supplemental disinfection equipment. - Support equipment in existing supplemental disinfection applications, including routine maintenance and telephone support for field reps. - Audit existing applications and confirm service expectations are being met. - Consult customers to determine appropriate water treatment and maintenance practices to minimize risks associated with Legionella and other waterborne pathogens. - Collaborate with technical marketing and engineering teams to improve processes, documentation, literature, and collateral material. - Other projects and administrative duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications - Familiarity with premise plumbing systems both potable and non-potable. - Experience with PLCs, control theories (proportional, integral, derivative, and their combinations), flow based control, sensor based control. - A Bachelor of Science with a GPA above 3.0. Focus on engineering, biology, or chemistry preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Strong interpersonal skills and an affinity to working with an interactive team. - Great organizational skills, attention to detail, follow through, and ability to manage multiple projects at once. - A high level of professionalism and strong communication skills. - The ability to survey facilities, take detailed notes, and produce reports based on findings. - The ability to speak comfortably in front of large groups during training and education seminars. - A positive attitude, a commitment to client service and a willingness to support the office team with a variety of assignments. • As a lead technical resource, you will support the Applications Engineer by managing workflow assignments and ensuring seamless collaboration within the team. • Your primary responsibilities will include developing comprehensive application solutions and precise estimates tailored for Johnson Controls sales opportunities. • You will also provide essential technical and sales support to the field organization for large and/or integrated systems, ensuring that client needs are met with the highest level of service and expertise. • Analyze and review SalesForce.com dashboards and reports to ensure adherence to Center of Excellence (CoE) processes and best practices. • Assign and prioritize requests for design and technical specifications based on project requirements and timelines. • Ensure the proper application of Johnson Controls systems products to meet diverse customer requirements through thorough analysis and review. • Review bid specifications meticulously, developing exception documentation as necessary to clarify customer needs and project scope. • Collaborate with Johnson Controls Sales Managers to prepare accurate and compelling bid responses and functional specifications that address customer goals. • Work closely with Johnson Controls Sales and Business Operations team members to prepare detailed project cost estimates that align with budgetary expectations. • Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls Policies and Procedures throughout all phases of project preparation and implementation to maintain quality and consistency. • Provide technical assistance to Business Operations and the Johnson Controls field organization during system startup, ensuring a thorough understanding of system intent by the field office. • Assist in the evaluation and beta testing of new systems and subsystems, providing feedback to enhance functionality and meet present or future requirements.

Assist boat builders with the integration of marine propulsion systems: - Bill of Materials - Structural Reviews - Installation & Sea Trial Reviews - Vessel Personalities - Performance Optimization - Issue Resolution Champion resolution of current product concerns. Create clear and concise problem definitions. Manage interim containment actions at the OEM. Implement permanent corrective actions and prevention. Document issues in Mercury's CPR System. Ensure OEM propulsion system installations meet Mercury Marine's installation requirements. Perform and document annual installation audits on current production boat model. Champion resolution of installation issues documented in audits. Support the integration of current products into new boat models. Support and facilitate propulsion system installation training of OEM installation technicians. Create and manage vessel personalities. Participate in product improvement projects, engine/boat integration projects and new technology advancements driven by customer needs. Support dealer meetings and customer events. Qualifications - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent. - Must have 2 years of experience in job offered or related position. - Must have 2 years of experience in the following skillsets: - Experience developing and delivering training focused on vessel systems and installing inboard and outboard marine engines. - Installing and troubleshooting vessels with multi-engine, multi-helm systems, including those with kicker engines. - Installing MFD (multifunctional displays) and the communications with propulsion systems. - Applying systems engineering principles to establish installation jigs more efficiently and accurately in inboard, outboard and/or towsport applications.
