Strategic Sourcing Contracts Manager

Role Description RSM is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Contracts Manager to join our finance team! This role is responsible for leading and executing vendor sourcing negotiations for projects and purchases with an annual spend up to $500,000 in size. The Strategic Sourcing Contracts Manager works closely with Partners, Line of Business Leaders, Directors, and Managers across all lines of business and internal functions for RSM. This role coordinates with RSM Leaders and external vendors to perform review, redlining and negotiation of certain commercial vendor contracts. Essential Duties - Perform review, redlining and negotiation of vendor contracts, including cloud/SaaS contracts, on-premises software contracts, master service agreements and statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and other documents related to our practice. - Lead vendor negotiations ensuring that information security and privacy due diligence is conducted on vendors and contracts comply with Finance requirements. - Leverage legal expertise to perform legal review of contracts negotiated by the sourcing team. - Understand how vendor programs and products will be used by LOB or functions to improve operations or productivity. - Interact with RSM leaders to ensure contract language meets operational objectives, provide status updates, and prepare contract risk summaries. - Coach LOB and functional leaders on negotiation tactics for best overall results. - Assist LOB and functional leaders in contract interpretation related to termination provisions, service level performance and software license compliance. Qualifications - Required - Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education or work experience. - Preferred – legal degree - Preferred – master’s degree - Required – strong analytical and contract negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements. - Required – strong price analysis and modeling skills to compare vendor proposals and RFP responses. - Required – contract redlining to effectively review, mark up, and negotiate proposed changes to legal agreements. - Required – basic knowledge of Excel, Word and word processing. - Required – 3-5 years strategic sourcing experience - Required – 3 years project management experience - Required – Experience leading negotiation of vendor agreements - Required – Knowledge of information technology concepts - Required – Knowledge of privacy concepts - Preferred – Knowledge of contracting process workflow and automated contracting systems - Required – superior oral and written communication skills - Required – Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization - Required – Exceptional listening skills Benefits - Competitive benefits and compensation package. - Flexibility in your schedule to balance life’s demands while serving clients.
