Senior Project Engineer – BESS
Blattner
• Lead the transition from project award through final design—managing third-party engineers, guiding internal teams, and serving as the main technical contact for the Owner. • Provide the construction team with the plans and details they need to build energy storage, solar, transmission, and substation projects. • Mentor engineers and help drive technical excellence across the organization. • Manage and direct multiple third-party design firms working towards Issued for Construction Drawings for electrical, civil, and structural designs. • Manage RFIs and design changes and support commissioning and as-builts. • Coordinate and lead design reviews at each design milestone.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited college required.
- Five or more years of progressive engineering, engineering supervisory, and/or construction/field related experience in a related industry (i.e., heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation) required.
- Prefer that the candidate holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate upon hire.
- May be required to obtain EIT within 1 year of hire for future opportunity to become a licensed PE.
- PE licensure upon hire is preferred, with an emphasis on electrical engineering.
- Renewable energy experience (Wind, Solar, or BESS).

Project Development Engineer
