Job Description

Product Manager – Trust & Safety

Donorbox

• Spearhead the product strategy for user protection, managing programmatic Org Verification, KYC processes, and Fraud Detection. • Secure the user journey by shipping product changes to our user onboarding to better capture verification data while maintaining a seamless activation flow. • Ship internal tooling to empower our support teams to quickly identify and take action on bad actors. • Configure monitors and alarms through vendors like Stripe Radar to proactively mitigate risk and decrease scammers. • Identify and mitigate link spam that degrades Donorbox's domain authority and search ranking, including in AI-powered search tools and answer engines. • Recommend and collaborate with other Service and Product Line engineering teams on changes within their remit. • Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to improve WAF rules and platform monitoring. • Collaborate with the Payments team on refund and chargeback workflows to mitigate financial risk. • Manage platform integrity by overseeing policies around User Generated Content, Content Safety, Spam, and Terms of Service (TOS) violations. • Lead the verification badge product & program

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with proven experience within Trust & Safety, Fintech, or B2B SaaS platforms
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching risk mitigation, identity verification (KYC/KYB), or fraud detection features.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles, with practical experience implementing product compliance measures (full legal expertise is not required, but a strong compliance mindset is)
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and domain authority, particularly how platform-generated spam and low-quality links impact search reputation.
  • You have a hands-on, analytical mindset and enjoy diving into data to measure product impact and success.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of balancing technical debt discussions with stakeholder feature requests.
  • Passionate about the nonprofit sector and driven to make a positive impact.
  • A global mindset that understands the diverse needs of organizations worldwide.
  • Strong ability to analyze different business scenarios, user friction points, and risk metrics.

Role Description The Strategic Medical Director will report to the VP, Sr Medical Director, Clinical Strategy and be a fundamental physician driver of new clinical program design, strategy, and innovation – working closely with prospective and current clients as we rapidly expand.
