Senior Platform Engineer – Developer Experience

RD Station

• You will be part of the Experience Platform team, working on building and evolving the solutions that structure the development journey at RD Station. • Your focus will be to make that journey simpler, clearer, and more consistent for developers, reducing friction and facilitating adoption of best practices and tools. • You will work together with Delivery Platform teams to ensure technical alignment and real impact on the development experience. • Implement improvements to Developer Experience tools and workflows used by multiple teams. • Contribute to standardizing the development journey, making adoption and correct usage easier. • Support the construction and evolution of clear and simple Golden Paths for development. • Reduce recurring frictions faced by developers during the journey. • Produce technical documentation that facilitates onboarding and correct use of the platform.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a developer in Developer Experience teams, platform teams, or enabler teams.
  • Solid technical background in software development.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and automation of development workflows.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and standardize processes.
  • Familiarity with IDP tools, Jenkins, CircleCI, Spinnaker, or similar.
  • Knowledge of rollout, release, and progressive delivery practices. (plus)
  • Experience with quality and continuous feedback tools such as Qlty, BrowserStack, or Statsig (plus)
  • Experience with Developer Experience platforms and internal catalogs (e.g., Backstage) (plus)
  • Experience with Golden Paths, self-service, and workflow standardization (plus)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment flows in shared environments (plus).

As a DX team member, you’ll partner closely with engineers company-wide to identify pain points, design pragmatic solutions, and drive impactful improvements that elevate our entire engineering organization. Qualifications - Minimum of 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering. - Fluent in at least one major programming language and able to switch between multiple languages and frameworks. - Experience with Go, Scala, PHP, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Swift, and Kotlin. - Knowledge of writing high quality, maintainable, testable, reliable and performant code. - Experience working on a developer infrastructure team or contributing to related open source projects. - Ability to break down complex problems rigorously and understand necessary tradeoffs. - Deep care for developer infrastructure and consistent improvements to the developer ecosystem. - Curiosity, data-driven mindset, critical thinking, and a focus on delivering value.
