• Own the strategic direction and roadmap for Confluent's access management program • Lead the program to enforce service-to-service authentication • Formalize non-human identity from pilot into a funded, governed program • Own the Access Management Standard and policies for least privilege • Define and track program OKRs and articulate risk posture to leadership • Drive cross-functional delivery with engineering and platform teams • Ensure the access management program integrates with adjacent GRC domains

• Drive execution of customer trust engagements and interactions to provide context about Confluent's security and compliance posture and negotiate security terms when necessary • Propose and partner with product, engineering, and security teams to design security and compliance solutions and frameworks to meet customer requirements • Coach and mentor field and security staff on customer security needs and requirements • Be a subject matter expert for the company around customer security assurance, and develop and demonstrate POVs on important existing and emerging regulatory positions impacting cloud service adoption • Build and scale key internal capabilities and programs required to drive customer enablement interactions • Maintain relations with internal teams such as Sales, CSG, Product, Engineering and Legal to drive and enable programs required to build trust with customers

• Design and build the backend services (primarily Go, Java, and Python) that run AI and model inference on real-time data. • Own features end to end — drafting the design, aligning stakeholders inside and outside the team, and driving the decision to a conclusion. • Make the technical calls on systems that span teams: model lifecycle, inference routing, and agent execution. • Own the quality of what you ship — code, test coverage, documentation, operability, and rollout safety. Your immediate focus will be on: - Scaling for Growth: Leading the technical strategy to scale our metrics infrastructure to handle 10x data volume over the next 2 years. - API Evolution: Driving the roadmap for new metrics datasets, query capabilities, and integration patterns. - Operational Excellence: Ensuring 99.99%+ availability, sub-second query performance, and seamless incident response. - Cross-Team Collaboration: Partnering with multiple teams across Telemetry, Cloud Infrastructure, and Product to deliver end-to-end observability solutions. • Define and drive the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Apache Flink across cloud and on-prem products. • Establish structured processes to align product, engineering, GTM, and executive stakeholders. • Identify high-leverage, 0-to-1 product opportunities for Flink and in adjacent areas like AI, data engineering, data warehousing, and event-driven applications. • Define how Confluent Flink offerings will work across Confluent and IBM product portfolio.

• Understand our users: Collect customers’ feedback, conduct interviews and analyze data to define user journeys, and key jobs to be done for developers, operators, and data scientists. • Drive the API Platform Strategy & Roadmap to drastically simplify the experience for developers, operators, and data scientists across all Confluent products with AI. • Define and prioritize key initiatives by linking them to measurable business outcomes (ROI) and validated customer demand. • Govern the API/CLI/TF interfaces across all Confluent products to offer consistent experiences while empowering product teams to move fast. • Execute on key initiatives across multiple teams through initial delivery and by driving adoption after launch. • Close the loop: Define quantitative and qualitative targets, measure performance against them, share results with stakeholders, and incorporate those learnings back into the strategy & product.

• Lead and develop the IT organization across Helpdesk, endpoint engineering (laptops, AV, conference rooms), enterprise identity (SSO, MFA, lifecycle), core productivity platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and adjacent SaaS), corporate networking (Meraki), and corporate cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure) • Own the employee technology experience end-to-end — setting and measuring service levels, response times, and CSAT, and using that data to drive continuous improvement • Modernize and automate the IT operating model — reducing manual ticket work through self-service, identity-driven access workflows, AI-assisted support, and policy-as-code for endpoint and network management • Partner closely with Security, People, Finance, Engineering, and Workplace teams to deliver onboarding, offboarding, access governance, and compliance commitments (SOX, SOC 2) without friction to employees • Manage vendor relationships, budget, and capacity planning across the IT portfolio — making clear build/buy/partner decisions and holding partners accountable to outcomes • Lead the team through growth and change — evolving the operating model, technology footprint, and team structure as the business scales and matures
