This candidate in any of our offices in the US.  The Class Action Attorney will help handle a heavy and complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection and privacy statues. Job Requirements

  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
  • Minimum 2+ years' of class action experience, including trial, deposition, and motions experience in technical, complex cases, ideally on behalf of plaintiffs
  • Exceptional research skills.  Candidate should be capable of scouring the earth on Westlaw to find applicable caselaw
  • Clerkship experience preferred
  • Law review experience preferred
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with a close attention to detail

This position will report to the Sr. Director, Head of Legal and Compliance Operations. In this position you will: Contracts Management : Manage and support the process workflow and negotiation cycle for various contract documents, including NDAs, procurement agreements, client agreements, amendments, and renewal order forms. Provide vendor contracting support for the Cedar Procurement team and client contracting support for the Cedar Growth team by reviewing and negotiating assigned contract requests, in collaboration with other members of the Legal & Compliance team. Assist with improving and managing contract templates and processes to address recurring business needs, and communicate changes clearly and effectively to internal teams. Provide project management support for various contracts data collection projects as needed. Corporate Administration : Oversee insurance policy applications, renewals, questionnaires, insurance certificate requests, and related processes. Collaborate with Cedar’s corporate compliance and statutory representation vendor to prepare, review, and manage annual reports, Secretary of State filings and document orders, required notice letters, certifications, information requests, and administrative filings, including tracking and calendaring corporate compliance-related deadlines.
