• Develop and lead a comprehensive public relations strategy that supports the company’s mission, business objectives, and growth priorities in digital health. • Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on reputation, media strategy, and external narrative, including issues with potential brand or policy implications. • Translate business strategy, product innovation, and data insights into compelling stories that resonate with clinicians, health systems, partners, investors, and media. • Establish clear PR metrics, KPIs, and reporting to demonstrate impact and inform ongoing optimization. • Own and elevate the company’s media presence across business, technology, healthcare, and policy outlets, cultivating strong relationships with top-tier and trade journalists. • Proactively identify and shape high-impact media opportunities, trend narratives, and storylines that position the company as a leader in health technology. • Design and manage executive thought leadership platforms, including speaking engagements, op-eds, bylines, panels, and key industry conferences. • Oversee development of PR materials (press releases, media briefs, Q&A, fact sheets, talking points, backgrounders) that are accurate, timely, and aligned with regulatory and compliance standards. • Lead reputation management initiatives, including corporate positioning, social impact stories, and long-term narrative arcs around innovation, trust, and clinical value. • Partner closely with Brand, Marketing, Product and Legal to ensure message alignment and integrated external communication. • Anticipate emerging issues in healthcare and technology and prepare proactive positions, messaging, and response frameworks. • Oversee corporate announcements (e.g., product launches, partnerships, clinical studies, regulatory milestones, executive appointments, funding events) to maximize strategic impact. • Build and maintain robust issues and crisis communications plans, including scenario planning, escalation frameworks, and holding statements tailored to the healthcare and technology context. • Serve as a lead advisor and spokesperson (as appropriate) during sensitive situations, coordinating cross-functional input and ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent communication. • Train and coach executives and designated spokespeople on media engagement, high-stakes interviews, and public appearances. • Serve as a key strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing counsel on reputation, media strategy, and external positioning. • Lead cross-functional PR planning processes, coordinating with Marketing, Brand, Product, Legal, and HR to ensure alignment. • Manage PR budget, agency relationships, and vendor contracts to ensure efficient and effective deployment of resources.

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in public relations or strategic communications, including substantial leadership responsibility.
  • Significant experience in healthcare, health technology, life sciences, or closely related regulated industries; familiarity with clinical, regulatory, and policy dynamics.
  • Proven track record of elevating a company’s reputation, driving meaningful media coverage, and shaping public narratives in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders, managing agencies, and driving complex, cross-functional PR initiatives without direct team management responsibility.
  • Deep expertise in media relations, corporate communications, executive visibility, and issues/crisis management.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect emerging market trends, health policy developments, and technology innovation to differentiated storytelling opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, including clinicians, health systems, payers, policymakers, investors, and the public.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, from long-term planning to rapid response execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.
