Account Manager – Platform

• Own the relationship with adviser firms as the primary contact for all matters relating to the M&G Platform • Identify and develop new business opportunities through targeted engagement • Coordinate operational support for a high-quality adviser and client journey • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within each firm • Collaborate with the wider M&G sales team to uncover and progress opportunities • Provide structured communication to stakeholders on progress against business plans • Ensure firms understand the M&G Platform proposition and its benefits • Promote digital self-service capabilities to advisers and support staff • Partner with the Adoption team to ensure users are trained and accredited • Maintain strong internal relationships across M&G departments

Job Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of the financial advice marketplace
  • Understanding of the mechanics of an adviser’s back office and different adviser propositions
  • Experience of web-enabled applications and understanding of main IFA back office systems
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Track record of working with IFA firms on strategic change and development
  • Ideally relevant professional qualifications in Financial Services or IFA facing business e.g. FPC, AFPC, ACII
  • A self-starter demonstrating enthusiasm and commercial acumen
  • Excellent consultative selling skills with a results-driven orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong client-facing focus
  • Ability to negotiate at all levels, with experience dealing at Senior Management levels
  • Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Numerate with experience in preparing business cases for investment and creating compelling business proposals
  • Flexible approach to work including hours and travel commitments
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively with multiple sources of information
  • Reacts positively to change
  • Articulate and well presented with high quality presentation skills
