• Increase sales of North Star products by developing new dealer leads and working closely with the existing dealer base. • Understand sales budgets and targets and be able to create reports for the Director of Sales. • Support the existing dealer base using some or all of the following methods: o Train customers on quoting software. o Assist customers in quoting. o Educate customers on North Star products and promote new and exciting product developments as they are introduced. o Distribute sales materials such as literature and samples to new and existing dealers. o Keep abreast of current trends in the market by listening to customers and attending trade shows. o Maintain good contact and communication with prospective customers using phone, email, social media.
Job Requirements
- 2-5 years of sales experience dealing with contractors, architects and renovators.
- Strong relationship building and selling abilities.
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Reliable personal transportation, good driving record and valid provincial drivers’ license.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory, including trade shows and national meetings.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Outgoing and personable personality.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
