Role Description This is a unique opportunity to shape Redis capabilities for the AI era early in the cycle. We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Engineer to join the core Redis Search/AI organization and help define the architecture, technical strategy, and next-generation capabilities powering AI workloads at global scale. In this role, you will work on some of the hardest problems in modern AI infrastructure, including: - Vector indexing - Hybrid retrieval - Distributed query execution - Latency-critical serving - Large-scale system design You will influence the direction of the platform across teams and play a key role in turning advanced research and emerging industry trends into production-ready capabilities used by millions of developers worldwide. • Lead our transition from outsourced database management to an in-house model. • Stabilize our legacy Oracle environments while driving our modernization strategy across our multi-cloud footprint. • Spearhead the architectural shift of our database workloads from Oracle to PostgreSQL. • Serve as the technical lead for critical business systems, architect scalable, cost-effective database solutions, and help us modernize our technology stack.

• Using Infrastructure as Code tools and mindset, automate the deployment of the environments we provide to our application teams and business units • With an emphasis on networking, directly support platform engineering partners and application development teams in troubleshooting, provisioning and maintaining various enterprise infrastructure services • Deploy, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure in Azure, AWS, & GCP • Configure and manage virtual networks and subnets • Design, deploy, maintain, evolve, and optimize VDI platforms and their underlying network, compute, and storage dependencies • Work closely with Security and Compliance to ensure security framework adherence (SOC2, Hi-Trust, FEDRAMP etc.) • Drive transformation and standardization of our foundational infrastructure services as the environment evolves and the business grows.
