• Own the performance and outcome of all deployed statistical and machine learning models, ensuring a seamless translation from data science output to effective underwriting decisions and measurable portfolio results. • Establish rigorous monitoring and feedback loops between model outputs and real-world credit outcomes. • Drive use of alternative data (transaction-level signals, partner platform data, behavioral indicators) to improve model accuracy and expand approval rates. • Own model risk governance including model documentation, validation processes, and ongoing performance standards across all deployed models. • Direct the end-to-end credit strategy, translating risk models and data insights into a cohesive set of underwriting policies, approval strategies, and pricing frameworks to deliver target loss and growth performance. • Own approval logic, pre-qualification strategies, and credit limit frameworks that balance growth targets, merchant experience, and credit loss thresholds. • Set minimum acceptance criteria aligned with Pipe's risk appetite while optimizing approval rates, customer lifetime value, and capital facility performance. • Design and implement pricing frameworks to ensure appropriate loss coverage and positive borrower selection. • Own portfolio performance reporting and forward-looking risk adjustments across all credit products. • Build early-warning systems and structured decision processes that enable fast, disciplined credit strategy adjustments. • Ensure portfolio resilience across economic cycles through proactive monitoring and timely action. • Act as the primary owner of our data quality roadmap, identifying discrepancies and driving technical solutions to resolve them. • Proactively identify and acquire net-new data sources (internal or third-party) to solve for missing signals and improve model accuracy. • Translate business requirements into clear data engineering and infrastructure specs, ensuring we have the right inputs for reliable, scalable risk decisioning. • Work closely with Risk Operations to ensure credit strategy is implemented reliably in production systems and iterated quickly based on portfolio results. • Partner with Capital Markets and Finance on loss forecasting, reserve setting, and risk appetite frameworks; manage credit policy to maintain compliance with facility covenants and triggers. • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to build scalable decisioning infrastructure that enables rapid strategy iteration. • Lead a team of seven risk specialists responsible for model building, credit strategy translation, and portfolio monitoring. • Create clarity, momentum, and accountability while maintaining a sustainable pace of execution. • Build a culture of analytical rigor, pragmatism, and bias for action.
Senior Solutions Engineer

• Own the technical design of partner integrations, from APIs to workflows, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance. • Guide partners through integration with Pipe’s APIs from scoping to launch, while managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination across multi-geo rollouts. • Diagnose and resolve partner issues quickly, working with engineering teams when necessary. • Translate complex requirements into simple, actionable solutions that accelerate partner go-lives and revenue impact. • Act as the connective tissue between sales, product, engineering, risk, and compliance to ensure smooth launches. • Create and refine documentation, solution design docs (SDDs), statements of work (SOWs), playbooks, and other reusable assets that speed up and standardize future integrations. • Build confidence with partners by delivering joint test plans, data-share templates, Postman collections, and other technical resources that make integrations smoother and more transparent. • Earn credibility with senior level stakeholders by demonstrating both technical fluency and business acumen.
Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Data Scientist

• Partner with senior scientists to forecast cash flows and other drivers of business health using statistical and ML modeling. • Design and build models that make our capital products better for customers and deliver positive return assets. Sharper pricing, lower losses, growth and offers that fit how SMBs actually run. • Proactively mine our datasets for insight, and prototype new models that move the needle for customers and the business. • Own model outcomes end-to-end. Not just deployment bespoke to the platforms Pipe serves (e.g., UberEats and Housecall Pro), but ongoing performance, residual analysis, drift detection, and the judgment calls about when a model needs to be retrained, replaced, or retired. You'll work closely with product, risk peers and engineering to make this real in production.
Staff Accountant

• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and the consolidation of international subsidiaries • Prepare monthly/quarterly flux analysis and internal reporting packages • Manage the accounts payable process, including vendor invoice processing, receipt matching, credit card transactions and ensure compliance with corporate policies • Perform treasury operations, including daily and weekly cash postings and reconciliations between multiple subsidiaries and currencies, initiating and tracking intercompany transfers and assisting with short-term cash flow forecasting • Provide audit support and tax compliance documentation • Help identify and implement opportunities for process improvements • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Lead Security Engineer

You should have opinions here, not just relay them. • Run user and partner research: talk to merchants, sit with partner engineering teams, watch real usage. • Write specs tight enough that engineering can build from them and product reviews can challenge them. Define, monitor, and analyze metrics yourself; pulling your own SQL when you need to. • Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Design, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Capital Markets and Partner Success.
