UKG

Role Description As a Strategic Solution Executive, you will serve as the senior solution authority for UKG’s most strategic sales pursuits. You will partner closely with frontline Sales Leadership and Account Executives to define opportunity strategy, orchestrate presales execution, and lead customer engagements at the executive level. This role goes beyond traditional presales support. You will own the solution strategy for complex enterprise deals, ensuring UKG’s offerings are aligned to customer business priorities, differentiated in the market, and positioned to deliver measurable value. You will also play a key role in advancing presales excellence through coaching, influence, and thought leadership across the organization. A key part of this role is partnering with Product to shape new plays, influence roadmap positioning, and bring back customer feedback from strategic pursuits so the business can sharpen its strategy and market approach. You will also help scale learnings, repeatable practices, and proven methodologies across the Presales organization through the team’s Center of Excellence function. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Sales Leadership & Opportunity Ownership - Partner with frontline Sales Leadership to identify, prioritize, and advance UKG’s highest-value strategic opportunities. - Own pursuit strategy for complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals, aligning solution approach, messaging, and execution. - Orchestrate presales resources across priority opportunities to ensure consistent, high-quality execution throughout the sales cycle. - Act as a strategic advisor to Account Executives, influencing deal strategy, positioning, and customer engagement plans. - Solution Strategy & Value Realization - Lead the development of tailored, value-based solution narratives aligned to customer business objectives and industry challenges. - Ensure solution presentations, demonstrations, and proposals are compelling, differentiated, and outcome driven. - Bring deep expertise in UKG’s product portfolio, industry trends, and competitive landscape to shape solution design and positioning. - Guide teams in articulating business impact, ROI, and long-term value realization. - Product Partnership & Market Feedback - Partner closely with Product to inform new plays, strengthen roadmap positioning, and align solution messaging to market needs. - Capture and synthesize customer feedback, competitive insights, and field observations from strategic pursuits. - Translate customer and market input into actionable insights that help shape product strategy and presales positioning. - Serve as a critical voice connecting the field, presales, and product teams to improve market readiness and solution relevance. - Executive & Customer Engagement - Engage directly with senior customer stakeholders, including C-suite and executive sponsors, to understand strategic priorities and challenges. - Facilitate executive briefings, discovery sessions, and solution workshops that position UKG as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. - Build credibility and influence through thoughtful insight, consultative dialogue, and executive-level storytelling. - Cross-Functional Leadership - Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Services, and Marketing to deliver a cohesive and differentiated customer experience. - Provide structured feedback to internal teams based on field insights, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. - Influence without authority in a matrixed environment to drive alignment and execution. - Coaching, Enablement & Center of Excellence Leadership - Mentor and coach presales team members on discovery, storytelling, executive presence, and value-based selling. - Support onboarding and ongoing development of presales talent by sharing best practices and elevating standards of excellence. - Help scale winning approaches, reusable assets, and strategic learnings across Presales through the team’s Center of Excellence function. - Serve as a role model for strategic thinking, customer engagement, and solution leadership. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, or enterprise software sales. - Proven success leading complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder sales pursuits. - Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS sales cycles and value-based selling. - Deep knowledge of UKG’s product portfolio, relevant industry trends, and competitive landscape. - Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and advise senior executive stakeholders. - Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. - Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and influence without formal authority. - Willingness to travel up to 50%. We are currently seeking a senior professional to serve as an early childhood subject matter expert (SME) for the National Center on Subsidy Innovation and Accountability (NCSIA). NCSIA provides technical assistance (TA) to Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) programs in developing child care subsidy systems that are child-focused, family-friendly, and fair to providers.
