• Lead and develop two engineering teams, working closely with Product, Design and Data disciplines; • Ensure the teams deliver with quality, speed and alignment with business objectives; • Foster a high-performance environment focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement; • Support and track the growth of team members through frequent feedback and development plans; • Ensure alignment and efficient communication across different squads and stakeholders; • Monitor and evolve engineering metrics (quality, performance, productivity); • Contribute to the tribe's strategic decisions, connecting technology to business impact.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or a related field;
- Background in Software Development;
- Experience in people management and leading engineering teams;
- Experience with distributed systems and high-scale/high-availability architectures;
- Knowledge of system architecture and engineering best practices;
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (product, design, data);
- Strong communication and influencing skills across organizational levels;
- Ability to make data-driven decisions with business impact.
- Differentials:
- Experience with search, recommendation or relevance systems (ranking, search engines, etc.);
- Familiarity with experimentation (A/B tests) and optimization of user experience.

Role Description The Intermediate Software Developer is a mid-level role responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications with moderate supervision. This role involves contributing to design discussions, mentoring junior developers, and taking ownership of specific features or modules. This role will be working on the Race Roster product. The successful candidate for this role can be either: - A remote employee (working 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada) - A hybrid employee (flexibility to work in the office or from home at a location within 75 km from the London, ON office) - An in-office employee at our London, ON office Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable frontend and backend code. - Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Proactively identify and resolve bugs. - Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture of software systems. - Provide guidance and support to junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills. - Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards. - Collaborate with other developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. - Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application. - Proactively identify and suggest improvements to reduce technical debt. - Actively participate in and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
