Role Description As Senior Director of Portfolio Marketing, you will define and own UKG’s portfolio- and platform-level narrative, explaining how our products come together to solve real workforce problems, why that matters to different buyers, and how it drives measurable business impact. This is a highly strategic, high-visibility role and a true right hand to John, requiring strong judgment, influence, and the ability to bring order to ambiguity. You will translate innovation into outcome-driven messaging, shape global campaigns, and ensure our platform story resonates across industries, personas, and buying committees. You will operate at both strategy and execution altitude, setting direction, guiding peers, and ensuring ideas land in the market through scalable plays and campaigns. - Portfolio & Platform Narrative: - Own UKG’s platform-level positioning, messaging architecture, and value proposition across a multi-product portfolio. - Define the “why, for whom, and why now” of UKG’s Workforce Operating System and Workforce AI. - Create differentiated narratives that clearly explain complexity—why large enterprises operate differently and why UKG matters. - Develop ROI and business value frameworks that support both marketing and sales conversations. - Segmentation, Personas & Vertical Translation: - Partner with GMs and Product Marketing to define target segments, personas, and high-value use cases. - Translate horizontal platform capabilities into vertical-specific relevance (e.g., manufacturing vs. other industries). - Ensure messaging reflects how buying decisions are actually made—not just by IT, but across the business. - Campaign & Go-to-Market Enablement: - Set strategic direction for major campaigns, solution plays, and market activations. - Build scalable “base play kits” that Demand Gen, Digital, and Sales can activate globally. - Ensure portfolio messaging consistency while allowing flexibility for speed and iteration. - Partner closely with Creative (including Krista McCrimmons) to refine and scale content. - Launch & Activation Leadership: - Lead major product, platform, and innovation launches to awareness and demand. - Align launches to existing portfolio narratives and GTM priorities. - Create launch briefs that clearly articulate narrative, audience, use cases, and commercial impact. - Sales Partnership & Revenue Impact: - Partner with Sales leadership to ensure messaging supports deal progression and differentiation. - Enable the field with clear, outcome-driven narratives and plays. - Tie portfolio marketing directly to: - Pipeline creation and acceleration. - Win-rate improvement. - Deal size and sales-cycle velocity. - Organizational Leadership & Clarity: - Establish clear ownership and ways of working across Portfolio Marketing, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation. - Influence peers and senior stakeholders without formal authority. - Prioritize high-impact work and maintain focus amid noise and change. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in Portfolio Marketing, Solutions Marketing, or Product Marketing within B2B SaaS. - Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. - Demonstrated ownership of portfolio- or platform-level messaging across multiple products or solutions. - Experience supporting enterprise go-to-market motions, including complex buying groups and long sales cycles. - Proven partnership with Sales, Product, and Demand Generation teams to support pipeline and revenue outcomes. Requirements - Experience marketing a multi-product, platform-based portfolio. - Experience developing messaging frameworks, solution narratives, and value propositions used in campaigns and sales enablement. - Background in business applications technology (e.g., HCM, ERP, CRM, CX, financial systems); infrastructure-only backgrounds excluded. - Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and peers without direct authority. - Prior exposure to HR, workforce management, or people technology. - Experience translating horizontal platform capabilities into vertical or industry-specific narratives. - Demonstrated impact on revenue metrics (pipeline creation, win rates, deal size, sales cycle velocity). - Experience leading or supporting global or distributed teams. - Familiarity with AI-enabled products or applying AI to marketing workflows and content development. - Experience supporting organizations through significant growth or transformation (IPO, acquisition, portfolio expansion). - External credibility such as speaking engagements, published thought leadership, or industry visibility. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Benefits - The pay range for this position is $207,400 to $264,950. - Employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan. - Restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation. - Learn more about UKG’s benefits and rewards at UKG Benefits .

• Build and launch multi-channel GTM campaigns: email sequences, workflows, lead nurture programs, and outbound cadences. • Configure and maintain (some) HubSpot properties, lists, and automation to keep partner instances clean and reportable. • QA all work before submission; nothing goes to a partner with errors or broken logic. • Build HubSpot dashboards and reports that give partners clear visibility into campaign performance, MQL volume, pipeline contribution, and channel attribution. • Identify what's working and what isn't in campaign data, and bring a clear summary and recommendation to the partner and your Lead Strategist. • Learn the basics of Clay; use it for ICP list building, data enrichment, and support for prospecting workflows. • Lead partner calls and syncs by preparing agendas, taking notes, and sending structured recaps within 24 hours. • Manage partner communication channels (email, Slack) with professionalism and responsiveness throughout the engagement. • Flag risks, delays, or blockers to the Lead Strategist early; don't wait until something is broken. • Coordinate with GTM Engineers, Content Strategists, and Paid Strategists to align on task ownership and keep pod execution on track. • Create and deploy ClickUp roadmaps and task tracking; keep your work up to date so the Lead Strategist and pod can see progress without asking. • Complete all 8 required certifications (HubSpot + Clay) within your first 90 days. • Shadow Sr. Strategists on client calls and strategy sessions, actively building toward independent strategic ownership. • Contribute ideas for process improvements, playbook additions, or campaign optimizations; your perspective from the execution layer is valuable.
