Senior Backend Software Engineer – Data Migration Platform

• Build an application that connects to external CRM systems used by acquired agencies, extracts relevant data, and prepares it for migration into Dwelly. • Work with APIs, exports, files, databases and poorly documented legacy systems. • Design workflows for cleaning, mapping, normalising, deduplicating, and validating complex CRM data before it enters Dwelly's core platform. • Build safe import flows with retries, audit logs, dry runs, error handling and manual review where needed. • Work with entities such as landlords, tenants, properties, tenancies, payments and maintenance records. • Use LLM APIs pragmatically for schema mapping, data classification, entity matching, exception triage and quality checks. • Own the platform end to end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support. • Work closely with engineering, product, operations and integration teams.
Backend Software Engineer – Applied ML, LLM Systems

• Build systems that extract structured data from emails, documents and other unstructured sources. • Enrich migrated client, landlord, tenant and property records with useful information from communication history. • Develop solutions that summarise a client’s full email history and surface the most relevant context inside Dwelly. • Build production NLP / ML-backed backend services that work reliably on messy real-world data. • Improve retrieval and ranking systems using approaches such as RAG, BM25, embeddings, hybrid search and reranking. • Define quality metrics, evaluation datasets and feedback loops for extraction, summarisation and retrieval systems. • Build Python backend services and APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask or similar. • Integrate ML and LLM workflows into production systems with clear error handling, observability and maintainability. • Work closely with engineering, product and operations teams to turn real business problems into scalable automation systems.

• Drive all core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract management, employee records, and offboarding. Ensure processes are structured, scalable, and consistently executed, delivering a seamless experience for every team member. • Own and maintain HR and company policies while ensuring full compliance with UK employment law. Lead employee relations processes, including disciplinary actions, performance management, absence management, and organisational changes. Partner with leadership to provide consistent, fair, and legally sound HR guidance. • Oversee payroll coordination and HR administration, ensuring accuracy of employee data, contract updates, and benefits. Serve as the central owner of HR systems, documentation, and data integrity, continuously optimising processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Own the day-to-day performance and reliability of Dwelly’s communication channels including IP telephony, SMS/RCS messaging, email, and WhatsApp Business API (WABA). • Support operations with providers such as Voximplant, Vonage, Twilio, and other vendors, including configuration, troubleshooting, platform administration, and technical escalations. • Monitor service health, delivery quality, blacklists, spam ratings, and overall channel effectiveness to ensure uninterrupted communication. • Build, maintain, and optimise telephony routing scenarios for inbound and outbound call flows, including voicemail, business hours schedules, transfers, call recordings, CLI logic, and other advanced workflows. • Support all telecommunication components integrated into the CRM, including log checking, troubleshooting, template management, and logic modifications. • Deliver integrations across communication systems using APIs, webhooks, WebSockets, and AI-powered solutions in collaboration with developers and technical partners. • Handle requests from Dwelly employees through the ticketing system regarding any communication channel, telephony issue, or softphone-related problem. • Collaborate with QA during incidents, acceptance testing, regression testing, or functional validation of telecommunication channels. • Investigate issues quickly, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and drive resolution during high-priority service disruptions. • Work closely with the integration team to assess the telecom stack of acquired agencies, analyse current call routing logic, and produce technical diagrams. • Support number porting processes, agency migrations, and transitions to Dwelly systems with minimal disruption. • Identify repetitive processes and improve them through automation, tooling, documentation, and AI-assisted workflows to support rapid company growth.
• Own day-to-day IT support for the internal team through our ticketing system, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively. • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, account provisioning, access control, and maintaining accurate access records. • Support end users across tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Jira, and other business-critical systems. • Act as the technical point of coordination with our managed service providers (MSPs) and third-party contractors, tracking delivery, escalating priorities, and providing technical direction where needed. • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues such as VPN connectivity, remote access, networking, email delivery, and device management. • Maintain and improve internal systems reliability, security, and operational efficiency across a distributed environment. • Work closely with the integration team to assess the technology stack of acquired agencies and centralise technical assets. • Support migrations from legacy environments, including on-premise Windows servers, websites, email systems, domains, hosting, file storage, and user accounts. • Connect newly acquired agencies to Dwelly’s core platforms including payment systems, referencing providers, and operational tools while minimising disruption during transition. • Administer and optimise internal tools including Jira, Slack, Notion, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Google Workspace, and related SaaS systems. • Identify repetitive manual processes and automate them through scripting, APIs, workflows, or AI tools wherever possible. • Continuously improve support operations, documentation, access management, and system scalability to support Dwelly’s rapid growth.
• We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join one of our core domain teams — Tenant Find, Property Management, or Payments. • This is a high-impact role at the intersection of business, product, architecture, and hands-on execution. • You will be expected to understand how the domain works in practice, identify the highest-leverage opportunities for automation, shape the solution, and drive it through to production. • You will work in a small, high-ownership team where exceptional engineers can have disproportionate impact. • This role requires advanced day-to-day use of AI and LLMs as part of exploring problems, evaluating solution paths, accelerating implementation, and designing automation systems.
