• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of integrated technology solutions for complex building environments. • Guide clients from early concept (Basis of Design) through design documentation, vendor procurement, implementation oversight, and post-occupancy optimization. • Serve as the client’s trusted advisor throughout the entire lifecycle—ensuring that smart building strategies align with operational priorities, user needs, and long-term facility goals. • Facilitate early-stage stakeholder workshops to define project vision, outcomes, and smart building use cases. • Translate operational and facility goals into actionable smart building strategies and technical roadmaps. • Develop and deliver executive-level briefings and decision support materials to align client teams around key milestones. • Cultivate long-term client relationships, providing ongoing support beyond project closeout. • Lead the development of smart building Basis of Design (BoD) documents, integrating input from IT, facilities, operations, and design teams. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and low-voltage/system designers to ensure smart building strategies are fully embedded into design documentation. • Develop system-level integration strategies and/or detailed design solutions where required for technologies.

• Provide healthcare regulatory expertise directly to the client and the Yellow Brick project team. • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety codes and healthcare-specific standards. • Serve as an advisor and provide expert guidance on healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices to improve compliance, patient safety, quality of care, and efficiency. • Lead complex, high-profile and/or high-risk healthcare facility regulatory projects successfully. • Research regulatory requirements and provide recommendations for compliance. • Develop and implement compliance plans, licensing plans, regulatory strategies, and training programs for healthcare staff. • Independently lead the planning and execution of multiple healthcare facility transitions and activation regulatory projects. • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules related to the project.

Role Description You will be a key participant in the design process, translating ideas into built environment solutions, and provide project design leadership across multiple projects. Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field required. - Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred. - Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required. - Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required. - Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred. - Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work. - Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required. - Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred. - Architectural Registration in the United States preferred. - LEED accreditation preferred. - Knowledge of building codes and requirements. - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. - Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies. - Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve design intent. • Conduct on-site facility assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team on existing buildings, evaluating building electrical systems, including emergency power, photovoltaic, fire alarm, security, data communication, and surveillance systems. • Work effectively and efficiently with client and other on-site personnel to assess client assets; maintain average daily walk rate of 125-250k square feet. • Determine the condition, remaining useful life, required costs, and remedial measures for electrical and low-voltage systems. • Provide technical identification and description of deficiencies ranging from concerns to critical issues. • Identify recommendations for correction and describe them with sufficient technical detail for future project planning and cost estimating. • Interview building operations and maintenance staff to determine building history, previous work orders, and operations information; prepare project progress documentation for project manager review. • Review work of peers; actively participate in post-project reviews. • May handle other responsibilities as needed.

• Conduct on-site facility condition assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team on existing buildings and civil assets. • Evaluate mechanical systems such as the HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers. • Work with the client and other on-site personnel to assess assets maintaining a typical walk rate ranging between 100,000 to 225,000 building square feet per day • Provide written technical descriptions of the systems observed and of their deficiencies • Determine overall condition of each system and its remaining useful life • Provide recommendations for correction of identified deficiencies • Provide rough cost estimates for executing your recommendations that will be used by our clients for future project planning and capital planning initiatives • Interview building operations and maintenance staff to determine building history, recent maintenance challenges, chronic maintenance challenges, and operations information • Prepare project progress documentation for project manager review • Review work of peers and actively participate in post-project reviews

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masters or advanced coursework preferred. - Minimum of 12 years of leading, managing and delivering climate and resilience-focused analysis and planning at the building, campus, and regional scale. - One or more credentials such as LEED, LFA, CPHC, WELL, BREAM, Fitwell, Green Globes, WEDG, SITES AP or similar required. - PE, Registered architect/licensed architect, or NCIDQ preferred. - Deep expertise in climate risk assessment and resilient design strategies. - Deep experience in greenhouse gas emissions assessment and reduction strategies at the building, campus, and regional scale. - Familiarity with building standards including LEED, LBC, WELL, etc. - Familiarity with ESG reporting structure and guidelines relevant to corporate, institutional, and municipal client types. - Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential. - This position may require travel to other CannonDesign offices as well as client locations.
