Job Description The Social Video Coordinating Producer will collaborate with MS NOW’s digital producers for primetime shows, be a key producer and editor for high-level original content and oversee content team producers during evening hours.  You are an expert editor with strong news judgment. You provide the editorial oversight needed to keep production running smoothly across all channels, including TikTok, YouTube, site, and app. You'll collaborate directly with primetime show teams to produce and edit original video content with talent, while overseeing the nightside editorial approval and distribution within the team. You excel at managing multiple stories and deadlines in a high-velocity, breaking news environment. PLEASE NOTE: The hours for this job are Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm.  This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.  Responsibilities:   - Oversee nightside editorial direction across all aspects of social content production, from ideation to final post. - Drive late-breaking news coverage across all social platforms. - Serve as the central coordinator for primetime show digital producers, maintaining organization across all shows, establishing clear workflows, and ensuring a steady pipeline of original videos and the strongest on-air moments. - Launch and assign videos to content team producers, giving final editorial sign-off before posting. - Deliver clear and constructive notes on scripts, edits, and post-production cuts. - Approve captions, banners, and graphics before posting. - Edit, produce, and script original video content. - Monitor linear broadcast in real time to identify compelling, newsworthy moments and direct producers on rapid turnaround content for posting across platforms. - Ideate and execute new formats to grow the MS NOW brand. - Collaborate on special rollouts, live events, and high-profile launches with marketing, direct-to-consumer, PR, and promotions teams. - Ensure all content meets editorial standards with Standards and Legal. Qualifications - 7 years of experience producing, writing, and editing news content. - Proven editorial leader with a track record of managing and mentoring producers in a fast-paced, breaking news environment. - Expert video editor in Adobe Premiere. - Extensive experience producing and optimizing content for YouTube, including best practices for headlines, thumbnails, descriptions, and audience development. - Hands-on experience shooting video and producing in creative, visually compelling ways. - Knowledge of digital gear, camera operations, and microphones. - Deep knowledge of news, politics, and the evolving social media landscape.
