About the role The People Culture and Standards Division works in partnership with all Divisions within the Department and beyond to promote and instil good governance and ethical conduct in line with the Department's mission, principles and values. This Division provides a central and safe environment to report unethical behaviour across the Department and responds to a range of integrity, behavioural, performance, competency and conduct issues. This is an exciting opportunity to join the People Culture and Standards Division who are integral in driving the way forward to meet the objectives of the Department's Integrity Framework. As a Senior Investigator within the Division, you will be part of a dynamic team who provide a range of crucial activities directed towards the management of disciplinary processes, integrity and corruption prevention across the Department. The role of Senior Investigator contributes to this through its key responsibilities of investigating reports of misconduct by staff and contractors, managing loss of confidence proceedings and reviewing critical incidents. The role is based at 140 William Street, a central Perth location and a major hub in the CBD - linking directly to the Perth Underground railway station, with pedestrian laneways from Forrest Place and Murray Street Mall, connecting Northbridge and the William Street collective. About You We are seeking applicants who can work flexibly in response to rapidly changing situations. Applicants will need to be able to take direction and work in teams but also be self-motivated and work independently to produce high quality work and meet deadlines. Applicants with experience in disciplinary investigations, financial investigations and the analysis of complex data to identify trends and themes are encouraged to apply. - It is a requirement for this position to be available for out of office hours availability on a regular roster. - It is a requirement to undertake intrastate travel as and when required. - The position occupant will be designated as Prison Officer under section 6 of the Prisons Act 1981(WA), pursuant to Prison Rule 1. Eligibility It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining a negative vetting level one security clearance as a condition of employment and maintaining the clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian citizens are eligible to hold the negative vetting level one security clearance.
