SQL Developer
Frontline Managed Services
• Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, and views. • Design and implement transactional SQL scripts to support data processing, automation, and system integrations. • Create and maintain scalable database solutions for business applications and reporting requirements. • Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms within SQL processes. • Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis. • Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks, locking issues, and performance degradation. • Monitor database performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. • Perform database maintenance activities including backups, restores, archiving, and integrity checks. • Monitor database health to ensure high availability, reliability, and security. • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime. • Support ETL processes, data migration, and system integration activities. • Collaborate with development and integration teams to support data movement and transformation requirements. • Validate data accuracy and integrity during migration and integration processes. • Maintain database documentation, technical specifications, standards, and best practices. • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and company policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, or in a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle databases
- T-SQL and/or PL/SQL scripting
- Stored procedures, triggers, functions, and cursors
- Transactional SQL scripting
- Database optimization and performance tuning
- Query execution plans and indexing strategies
- Database backup, recovery, and maintenance processes
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and migration concepts.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
