• Deliver insightful research • Alongside the Data Center team, contribute to and create high quality research in the form of reports, trackers, forecasts, and presentations • Develop and test hypotheses that challenge existing beliefs within a market to provide unique insight • Use all the tools and knowledge at your disposal to produce analysis that goes beyond the descriptive to give Omdia the edge over its competition • Market high-level industry expertise • Use your expertise and experience to define and expand an area of research • Market that expertise at a senior level within our clients and prospects • Provide a timely response to market events and offer up-to-date opinions founded on broad-based experience • Build and maintain client relationships • Over time, and as your career progresses at Omdia and Informa TechTarget, maintain and extend your network of client relationships • Become a trusted advisor to these clients • Ensure effective client management • Build and manage ongoing relationships with clients • Represent Omdia and Informa TechTarget, demonstrating your expertise in Data Centers, as well as taking a broad view the technology ecosystem and its delivery of business outcomes • Support sales, marketing, product management, and PR teams • Participate in client-facing meetings with the sales team and add credibility to Omdia and Informa TechTarget relationships • Expand strategic planning involvement • Offer insight to our planning meetings • Work closely with the Practice Leader and Research Directors to drive the direction and strategy of the team • Through the understanding of client needs based on senior-level relationships, develop a customer-based point of view for new products and advisory services

Job Requirements

  • Over 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience in the data center ecosystem, either as an industry analyst or in the wider ecosystem
  • Solid technical understanding and insight into the data center ecosystem, and the ability to quickly form credible, distinctive, compelling, and original opinions on how aspects of these will evolve, and why
  • Quantitative research, with the ability to build, maintain, and enhance market forecasts and trackers, and present complex concepts and trends from data in a compelling manner
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, including a personable manner and the confidence to present to, engage with, and influence executives at the highest levels of the industry
  • The ability to build and enhance a profile with industry contacts and opinion formers
  • A network of existing industry contacts would be highly favorable
  • The ability to quickly and coherently identify and communicate critical issues impacting the commercial performance of Omdia’s vendor clients across the data center ecosystem
  • Experience of working with sales and marketing teams to identify and successfully capitalize on business development opportunities
  • A proven track record of managing a workload to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided: - Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space. - Mitigation of orbital conflicts. - Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities. - Operations and maintenance of classified communications. - Software development and integration. NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at: - Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado - Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado - Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska - Vandenberg Space Force Base, California - Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world Description of Duties: The Computer Operator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: - Facilitating the excellent relationship between Government active duty/civilian customers and our contractor team. - Using Remedy and similar management tools to complete and assign trouble tickets for network, PC, laptop, KVM, printer, and other IT issues. - Initiating responses, tracking, updating, reviewing, and concluding actions in Remedy. - Task effort includes manually handling, reviewing and editing messages, turning on/off intercepts and equipment. - Recalling and servicing messages, as well as monitoring systems to maintain continuous system availability. - Perform log analysis; error detection; fault correction; data line alternate routing; message intercept and retrieval. - Perform startups, reboots, server swaps, and shutdown of the systems. - Reporting job status to MDC leaders. - Supporting the customer's annual exercises, planned monthly relocations, and unplanned real-world events. - Performing other duties as required to support the 21CS mission. - Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on-site for extended periods during emergencies and drills. This position is expected to pay $68,000-$73,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
