Applications Engineer, Level 2
Onto Innovation
• Deliver technical presentation and perform system demonstration/sample inspection/measurement for customers • Provide both on-site and remote applications support to customers • Assist customers in solving problems related to the application of inspection tools to their manufacturing processes • Supports the Applications Lab with input to customer Test Plans and provides execution support when required • Interface with external customers and internal departments to best determine equipment specifications • Work together with FSE to carry out the final acceptance for new tool installation as well as customer training • Report on results of experiments, tests/studies, and provide preliminary interpretation • Apply good problem-solving skills to solve customer issues and applications • Establish a good relationship with the customer and develop commercial awareness in order to provide feedback on the business opportunities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Applied Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related science and engineering field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with semiconductor process/metrology products
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with limited direction and take initiative to solve problems
- Can function in a fast-paced environment
