Job Description

Business Intelligence Analyst – Developer

Summit Racing Equipment

• Responsible for turning data into knowledge through Summit Racing’s enterprise Business Intelligence tool set • Build out a corporate analytics data suite, producing impactful dashboards or Reports to drive performance • Ensure the right information is available to build and track key metrics • Collaborate with various IT groups and internal business end users • Partner with the user community to create new business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis solutions • Collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels to develop and define business questions • Create standardized business reporting to identify exceptions that enable quick course correction • Show expertise in data analysis, independently mine data to translate business needs into creative visualizations • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders • Gather requirements, design reporting, deployment, and continuous improvement • Support peers and stakeholders as a subject matter expert through troubleshooting and analysis of results • Assist with BI tool training for internal users to enable self-service • Maintain a single source of truth for company-wide metrics • Validate data delivered to user community • Monitor software systems to ensure reliability and accuracy of information loaded into the databases

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of information technology experience in a Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence environment
  • Strong SQL skills in relational database platforms
  • Experience with MicroStrategy, TOAD DataPoint, PowerBI, Cognos, and/or advanced 3GL or 4GL is a plus
  • Knowledge of data storytelling, predictive analytics, visualization design, and python, also a plus
  • Must be able to work as part of a larger team, with others, in a role-based environment
  • Important to understand and have worked actively within a project life cycle
