Role Description The Underwriter I is responsible for supporting the Personal Property Underwriters, the Underwriting staff, and all departments that interact with Underwriting. The Underwriter I is responsible for assisting with the processing of New Business, Endorsements, Suspense and Renewals. Role Description Provide claims advocacy, program analysis, and risk services to clients working in conjunction with the Senior Claims Leaders, and the Placement Teams. Claims advocacy for clients requires consultation, pro-activeness and added value to the process. - Assists clients in reporting claims to carriers, advises on managing emergency services, and how to begin documenting the claim. - Consider and advise the client on any other resources such as restoration firms, engineering consultants, or claim preparation services. - Assist clients with managing cash flow by advocating for early advance payments and ongoing partial payments as desired by the client. - Throughout the process anticipate potential issues and communicate to the client and the adjustment team. - Provide advice and guidance on carrier coverage positions.
