Job Description

Avionics Tools Engineering Project Leader

GE Aerospace

• Provide leadership and technical direction to large teams for multiple software development projects with significant business impact • Establish plans for projects, define objectives, identify engineering resources, and manage costs • Manage the project schedules, provide reports to customers and modify plans as required • Act as a CAM for Cost Plus programs implementing certified EVMS • Provide oversight of design practices and standards • Effectively communicate with customers and program managers to assure a quality product is delivered on time and within budget • Effectively apply Project Management Professional (PMP) principles and standards

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Five years of experience leading software teams supporting external and internal customers
  • Experience with engineering processes including: Requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification, Software development and integration, EVMS
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens
  • GE will require proof of status.
  • Three years of experience in software development
  • Experience leading in a matrix organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • PMP certification
  • Simulation Development experience
  • FAA / EASA / NAA certification
  • DO-178C
  • DO-330
