Job Description

Creative/Design Specialist III

AECOM

• Performs creative and graphic design tasks to deliver a range of outputs that effectively convey a message and capture the attention of our intended audiences. • Uses a broad mix of design software and technology to create online and offline designs including: digital layouts, web graphics, video, UX, 3D, proposals and other collateral. • Acts as a brand ambassador for the AECOM brand and its usage. • Understands organization, client base and strategic priorities. • Establishes relationships with key internal stakeholders. • Reviews the visual layouts of other less experienced team members and has the ability to manage visual challenges and stakeholders. • Creates outstanding branded visual design layouts. • Is highly capable within a specific discipline or area of software and has a wide understanding of the creative process and landscape. • Applies strong creative understanding to inform cross-functional teams to meet and exceed project goals and client needs. • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a strong understanding of client expectation, quality assurance and brand compliance. • Ensures that all creative work meets brand guidelines and standards and able to review work of junior team members to ensure brand compliance and consistency. • Manages multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. • Able to manage less experienced team members and develop collaborative workflows to meet project deadlines. • Able to collaborate and project manage complex proposals with multiple different outputs to deliver compelling digital and printed media. • Coaches entry level designers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills and expertise, with a strong portfolio (examples showing experience in the Architectural/Engineering & Construction industry highly desirable).
  • Thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (emphasis on PowerPoint and Word).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
