• Accounts Payable: Accurately review and process vendor invoices on time, manage internal team approval requests, and ensure timely payments are scheduled. • Journal Entries: Record payroll, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other recurring data-entry activities. • Reconciliations: Support monthly reconciliations and help maintain clean, accurate books. • Transaction Categorization: Import and categorize expenses across accounts. • Monthly Close Support: Assist the Finance team with close activities, reporting, and tax support. • Process Improvement: Once you're settled in, identify opportunities to improve or automate operational workflows and bring those ideas to the table.

Job Requirements

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Accounting
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), including accruals, prepaids, and journal entries; experience with invoice processing, reconciliations or month-end close is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, you use it every day without thinking twice
  • Detail-oriented and organized, you catch mistakes before they become problems
  • Proactive and eager to learn, you don't wait to be told what to do next
  • English proficiency is a must
  • Experience with accounting tools like QuickBooks is a bonus, but not required

Responsibilities: - Prepare and file multiple State Sales and Use tax returns with the potential of expanding across all 50 States as well as Canada and beyond. - Process and ensure all tax payments are made timely and accurately. - Manage registrations and compliance as the company moves into new jurisdictions. - Manage Business Licenses renewals throughout the organization. - Research changes to local/county/state sales and use tax law keeping company in compliance. - Manage the Vertex tax integration to make sure sales tax rules and nexus are up-to-date and correct. - Research and interpret tax compliance. - Manage State Sales and Use audits working with internal teams to prepare documentation for Audit. - Maintain/manage all Property and Real Estate returns and payments throughout the organization. - Ability to work with internal stakeholders and clients regarding tax questions in a clear and precise manner. - Assist in maintaining and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date. - Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and accruals. - Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
