Compensation includes: - $100,000.00 base salary - 5% bonus on net attorney fees from cases you settle - 50% of attorney fees generated from the business you bring to the firm - Most attorneys in this role can expect to earn over $120,000.00 in their first year here, with upside earning potential This is a WFH position, but you must live in and be licensed in Illinois. Qualifications - Licensed in IL - 3+ years of litigation experience - Experience with hearings, motion practice, discovery, and depositions - Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to manage deadlines and litigation strategy proactively - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high standards and accountability Requirements - Personal injury experience (preferred) - Trial experience or meaningful trial exposure (preferred) - Experience handling a high-volume litigation caseload (preferred) - Experience using modern legal technology and case management systems (preferred) Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision - STD, LTD, and life insurance - 401(k) with a 4% match - 15 days of PTO per year - 12+ days off for federal holidays What You’ll Do - Handle injury cases from filing through resolution - Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery - Take and defend depositions - Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials - Develop a case strategy alongside our litigation team - Analyze medical records, evidence, and liability issues - Communicate directly with clients and guide them through the litigation process - Work closely with experts, medical providers, and support staff - Move cases proactively and aggressively toward resolution - Help improve litigation systems, workflows, and processes as the firm grows At Mike Agruss Law, we want attorneys who think critically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their cases.
