Data Performance and Reliability Analyst – DBA/DBRE

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational database environments in high-criticality scenarios. • Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency of database environments. • Perform administration, tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization of databases. • Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, execution plans, locks, deadlocks, and resource consumption. • Implement monitoring, observability, and incident response strategies. • Lead troubleshooting of critical incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and propose structural improvements. • Automate operational and administrative routines using scripts and automation tools. • Work with Infrastructure as Code practices for provisioning and managing environments. • Define and promote best practices for governance, versioning, backup, disaster recovery, and data security. • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams to evolve solutions.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a DBA or DBRE in high-complexity, large-scale data environments.
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or SQL Server.
- Experience with managed cloud databases, preferably on GCP and/or AWS.
- Advanced knowledge in tuning, troubleshooting, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and search engines such as MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Experience with automation using Python, Shell Script, or equivalent languages.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and schema/migration versioning.
- Knowledge of security practices, encryption, access control, and data governance.
- Ability to operate in critical environments with a strong focus on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
