• Prepare and submit Primary, Expansion, and Corporate Amendment Applications, business entity filings, and renewals across multiple jurisdictions • Manage Risk Purchasing Group licensing requests, renewal filings, and related regulatory documentation submitted to Departments of Insurance • Maintain Advisory/Rating Organization licensing filings and renewals • Review company materials to ensure compliance with applicable lines of authority • Serve as a key liaison between internal business teams and state regulators— facilitating clear, timely information exchange • Stay current on insurance licensing requirements, regulatory processes, and filing procedures to proactively support compliance • Maintain accurate and up-to-date company licensing records and regulatory data • Lead and participate in stakeholder meetings, keeping key parties informed and aligned • Conduct state regulatory research and present findings to product teams to support ongoing compliance initiatives • Provide general administrative and regulatory support as needed
• Draft and submit Rate, Rule, and Form filings for all states and Property & Casualty lines of business • Prepare and complete the necessary transmittals • Assist with tracking and managing state filing objections • Work with key stakeholders to address and respond to the objections in a timely manner • Monitor the status of state filing projects • Collaborate with the team to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met • Conduct targeted research using public and proprietary insurance resources to support client projects • Track bureau changes, updates to industry regulations and market trends (as needed) • Actively participate in internal strategy meetings and training sessions to build your insurance and consulting expertise • Collect, organize, and synthesize data for use in client-facing reports and internal strategic projects • Perform meticulous data entry and formatting for regulatory filings, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance • Assist in managing internal databases to ensure information is current and accessible • Support the creation of professional draft documents, presentations, and client deliverables • Maintain organized project files and contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal templates and tools

The Role As the Insurance Product Development Specialist at Martin & Company, you will play a key role in leading the strategy, design, and launch of new and enhanced insurance products. This role manages the full product lifecycle - from ideation and market research to regulatory approval and market launch. Coordinate with Sales as needed during the sales cycle to assist with driving profitable growth and ensuring our offerings meet customer needs in a competitive landscape. You will collaborate with insurance carriers and Managing General Agents to develop new and revised forms and manuals. Work closely with Actuarial and State Filings to coordinate product launch. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Innovation - Define and assist with the architecture of the product vision. Prepare competitor comparisons and identify market opportunities. Assist with developing project roadmaps, as needed. Lifecycle Management - Oversee the end-to-end process, including ideation, design, development, and post-launch optimization. Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all products comply with state and federal regulations while maintaining necessary support and documentation. Market & Performance Analysis - Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to guide product development and potential strategy. Cross-Functional Influence - Partner with Actuarial, State Filings, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of client product development initiatives. Qualifications Experience: - Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in product development and insurance compliance. Industry Knowledge: - Extensive experience in insurance product development within the insurance industry is required. - In depth knowledge and experience with the development of proprietary as well as bureau (i.e. ISO and AAIS) based programs and exceptions. - Ability to review and interpret bureau circulars. Technical Skills: - Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and the associated regulatory environments. - Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive results without direct authority - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). - Experience with the following is preferred: SERFF, ISOnet, Wrike software project management tool, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI.
