• Audit and monitor clinical documentation and service records for accuracy and compliance • Utilize audit tools and reporting systems aligned with regulatory and reimbursement requirements • Identify documentation trends, gaps, and compliance concerns, and communicate findings appropriately • Support clinical documentation improvement efforts through education and follow-up auditing • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and patient accounting, on documentation and claims review processes • Review coding and documentation using ICD-10 and CPT standards • Generate and analyze reports to support compliance monitoring and operational improvement • Maintain working knowledge of the organization’s electronic health record (EHR) systems • Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and interdisciplinary teams

• Conduct risk-based audits across strategic, operational, financial, and compliance areas • Execute risk-based business process audits and transactional analysis • Prepare clear, well-supported, high-quality workpaper deliverables • Identify control gaps, process deficiencies, and possible policy violations • Collaborate with process owners to identify root causes and corrective action plans • Track and monitor process improvement status with a focus on effectiveness

• The Outpatient Auditor is responsible for completing quality assurance reviews on internal and/or external outpatient coding specialists or external providers • This role involves validating the coding specialist is accurately abstracting data into appropriate client electronic medical record systems • Responsible for reporting quality results, tracking educational opportunities, and providing educational support and training
