Role Description The Redesign Group is expanding our Strategic Accounts team and seeking Account Systems Engineers (ASEs) to own and develop deep technical relationships with our most strategic customers. As an ASE you will be a trusted technical advisor, responsible for understanding customer environments, crafting tailored multi-vendor solutions, and driving long-term customer success and expansion. This high-impact, customer-facing technical role is ideal for someone who prefers to go deep with a small set of key accounts rather than managing a high-volume transactional sales pipeline. - Act as the technical owner for ~5–10 strategic accounts in your region, building deep trust with customer engineers and architects. - Spend significant time with customers (on-site and virtual) to understand business objectives, technical environments, challenges, and long-term goals. - Assess customer needs and translate them into tailored multi-vendor infrastructure architectures across servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, and software solutions. - Package, propose, and present compelling end-to-end solutions that clearly address customer challenges and support their transformation roadmap. - Partner closely with field sales, Solutions Architects, Solution Consultants, OEM presales engineers, and services teams to craft winning proposals and support bid cycles. - Lead discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical workshops with customer stakeholders. - Develop and maintain detailed account documentation, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and action plans to ensure continuity and shared understanding across the account team. - Proactively identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and help drive account growth, aligned with land-and-expand / 100% wallet share strategy. - Coordinate technical support, implementation details, and acceleration of sales cycles when needed. - Dedicating recurring time each week to training and certification to stay current with technologies customers rely on. - Contribute field feedback and insights to internal teams to help shape offerings, best practices, and engagement models for strategic accounts. Qualifications - Proven pre-sales, consulting, or technical account experience supporting enterprise IT solutions. - Strong understanding of enterprise technologies including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud. - Ability to interpret business and technical needs and translate them into clear, compelling architectures. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences. - Comfortable working collaboratively in a matrixed environment with sales, engineering, and services partners. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Industry certifications relevant to infrastructure technologies (e.g., networking, cloud, storage).
