The person will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, architects, and clients to develop integrated fire protection and life safety solutions that meet rigorous operational, regulatory, and client-specific requirements. - Lead the design and execution of fire protection and life safety systems for hyperscale data centers, secure facilities, and other mission-critical projects. - Develop and review fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety system designs in compliance with NFPA, IBC, IFC, UFC, and client-specific standards. - Serve as the primary technical resource and client liaison for fire protection engineering scopes across complex infrastructure projects. - Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and security teams to ensure fully integrated system designs. - Support project planning activities including proposal development, scope definition, scheduling, and technical coordination. - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers while contributing to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives. - Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to fire protection system performance, constructability, and compliance. - Travel occasionally to project sites and office locations as needed to support project execution and client engagement activities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline required. - Professional Engineer (PE) license required with Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) designation strongly preferred. - 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering with experience supporting mission-critical, hyperscale data center, government, or secure facility projects preferred. - Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, IFC, UFC requirements, and fire protection system design tools such as Revit, AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, or similar platforms required.
